You seem like you know what your talking about, just that you are biased and did not look at Chinas actual development over the years/decades. Seems like you just looked at other countries and then picked whatever looked the most similar and didn't care what China did or didn't do or chinas own history of development and technological achievements. Did you not look at Chinas previous jets and development? It is a natural progression of Chinas J-XX program. From J-8, J-9 to J-10 to J-20. It didn't just come out of nowhere. It looks very similar to J-9 design which was cancelled. China has decades of experience along with full tech transfer from Russia of Su-27, and also Chinese buying and studying/reverse engineering su-30, su-35 etc. That is why flanker is the backbone of Chinese air force for decades and still currently, or at least until J-20 takes over in the next decade or two, and maybe J-31/J-35, along with J-10. But even then J-16 and J-11 will still be useful along with the other direct Russian imports like Su-30/Su-35. As for engine, China already replaced Russian Al-31 ages ago with domestic WS-10c, and now already using ws-15 currently which is supposed to be on par/rival their us counterpart engines. Maybe the engine hours lifetime is not as long but still respectable, and is dual engine and produces more power and J-20 has higher speed and further range than f35. Also, china will obviously not stop here and will keep on developing everything to keep improving in every single area from avionics, electronics, networking, engines, stealth, radars, armaments and missiles, loyal wingman drones, etc etc. J-20 will continue to be upgraded and in use for decades. It is in no way finished even with ws-15 engine mass adoption, but it is probably good enough for now to enter mass production with 100 jets produced every year.. We've seen dual seater versions already(probably for use with loyal wingman, or just for better command and control, better weapons targeting and information processing while other can focus 100% on piloting), and I'm assuming it will also get an electronic warfare version like china did with the J-16D if China needs to take out radars or anti air systems etc.

Everybody else in the world has a different looking plane except for the guys that stole the design. Yea they probably didn't even look at them.

u asumed the j20 is trying to copy f22 including the engine. But the reality is, its not copying the f22. China started late in the aviation industry and they do have difficulties in developing jet engines, but u cannot deny the fact that their tech. is rapidly growing. The dedicated engine(ws15) for j20 is still under development which means eventually its performance will match the f22. you forgot to mention about the j20 radar system, cockpit glass, ejection system, pilot helmet, software system and missles(pl15 and pl10 which can be mounted outside during dog fight). these are all the innovations. btw, the DSI intake WAS NOT INVENTED BY THE US. you cantt say the j20 intake is copying the f35. amount all fifth generation fighters, they all have some physics in common but you cant say one is copying another becasue no one invented physics(its the nature). Overall this is not a bad video! liked!

The accurate thing is the j31 proves that China is doing tech theft on US about f35 and f22. After learning things they essentially made j20 from learning the building process of j31 which is like 80 percent f35 looked alike. So all in j20 wasn't a copy but a evidence of them learning from stealing classified military stealth technologies and implemented it.

I suggest you do some homework about the dsi inlet, and China's dsi intake research history and J9 program

Engines are hard to copy because they are produced via numerous subcomponent manufacturing processes not all of which can be reverse engineered from the final product. That's why China lags when in comes to engines -- it can't steal engine designs from the west the same way that it normally does.
