So by your logic people can only talk about something that's facts, and can't theorize about anything.... Also it's weird that you basically defend religious stuff, which has more fantasy to it than a theory that religious people were on drugs, which feels more realistic. Answering what ifs needs knowledge the same way knowing facts do. Case in point, this video, if the guy would've just answered: "I don't know, how should I know?" , would've meant he knows less than the guy claiming the theory.

The theology of the Bible is too consistent and cohesive to be the random results of some dudes tripping.
@Guilherme-JK9 ай бұрын
Exactly
@augustgreig94209 ай бұрын
Actually psychedelic experiences, especially the more revelatory, spiritual ones that can cause a complete personality change for the better and turn atheists into believers, are very often extremely consistent not only with one another, but also with visions people have gotten throughout history from everything from fasting, sweat lodges, praying, chanting, meditation, and even just totally at random. Moreover, DMT and Ayahuasca trips in particular are extremely consistent with one another, even among people from vastly different cultures and backgrounds who have no foreknowledge of the experiences of others. When these drugs are treated with reverence and respect, rather than used as party drugs for going to a concert or sitting at home playing video games, they can be extremely helpful and life changing. There are many evidence based studies which have been going on for the last several years on psychedelic mushrooms performed by some of the world's leading academic and medical institutions, mostly on people with terminal illnesses with little time left to live and people suffering from PTSD, especially combat veterans, and the results have been astounding. With just three sessions, the first two where they first give you a low dose to introduce you to it, then a second higher dose to make sure you can handle it, followed by the final dose, which is sufficiently large to give someone a full on psychedelic experience. This has shown to complete alleviate death anxiety, or fear of death in the terminally ill, has completely cured PTSD, anxiety and depression, and has also been shown to significantly help with addiction, especially smoking. The most amazing thing is, after following up with these people 6 months and a year later, where possible, these effects have remained. Meaning the people are still no longer experiencing whatever condition they were suffering from, or still have nnot picked up drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes in all of that time without ever receiving further treatment. Knowing that, it should be no surprise that pharmaceutical companies, health insurance providers, and the medical industry as a whole are vehemently opposed to these or any other similar treatments, such as Ibogaine, legal in most countries outside of the US, is a psychedelic drug that has been proven to be an effective treatment for opiate addiction which only takes 48-72 hours, the patient experiences no withdrawal symptoms, is immediately cured of cravings, and again, after 6 month and 12 month follow ups, 95% of those treated are still clean. Meanwhile, anything that is a lifelong treatment like SSRIs, Methadone, basically synthetic heroin, Suboxone, "therapy" etc. are all perfectly legal and promoted.

Do you think you could do a whole video on some of the stuff people claim they see on psychedelics? I know it's not necessarily Christianity-related, but I feel like it's becoming more popular to talk about because people are starting to think that shrooms are giving them visions of the spirit world and I'd like to see these claims more properly analyzed. If you could review Whatifalthist's new video "Did the CIA find the Spirit World?" that covers a lot of the topics related to this stuff. Also thank you for pointing out Etymological Fallacies. The people who claim Yahweh is really an evil Anunnaki masquerading as God. They claim that 'Shaddai, in the title of God, El Shaddai, really means destroyer because it comes from the root word shadad which means to spoil, destroy, etc. So, they claim that Yahweh is really the devil. My wife got swept up in that and was believing that God the Father was really Enki and Enlil was really Yahweh, and the only way to tell them apart in the Old Testament was "by their fruit." Anything dealing with destruction was Enlil and anything dealing with love was Enki. Thankfully she has finally realized it was all untrue and returned to Jesus. Look up Corina Pataki, she has a whole channel about this stuff where she is teaching that YHWH is evil. She was very influential for my wife.

@@krischurch3763 it got real crazy for us. My wife asked for a divorce around Christmas and then she had some really unsettling experiences, whether it was psychosis or actually supernatural, we aren't totally sure. She is mentally unwell in general. It kind of shocked her awake and we were able to get her help. I wish I could say there was an argument that was effective, but there really wasn't until she accepted she was heading into outer darkness. It took that experience to make her doubt her other experiences before she'd even listen to arguments. If your roommate has a history of mental illness, then you may be able to encourage them to seek treatment and not even address the weird beliefs, likely the treatment will empower them to realize it's crazy. There were definitely possible hallmarks of demonic influence. After she "woke up" she began cleansing her life of connections to the annunaki. Social media posts, friends that were encouraging her down that road, pictures of annunaki. Like she had pictures of Enki on her phone. Doing that helped a lot. I don't want to dogmatically say she was being oppressed by a demon because of her mental history, but it did have similarities to situations which were definitely demonic influence. I felt very helpless. All I could really do was tell people I trusted who had strong connections with Jesus to pray for her, I believe the weight of our intercession allowed the Holy Spirit to strongly impress her that something was very wrong about the experience she was having.

A lot of psychologists and neurologists have pointed out how so much of the book of Revelation tracks almost precisely with a typical psilocybin hallucination.

Why do people make shroom theory’s about everything for no reason 😂 they do the same with the stoned ape theory

It would also be interesting to refute the theory that Jesus would have used marijuana, as supposedly in the period before his public life, he would have lived among the Essenes, who supposedly used the herb...

It's funny cause even a vast majority of atheist scholars would laugh in your face if you suggested Jesus "didn't exist", more so if you said he was the product hallucinogens and reproductive rituals(???). People who've never read the Bible think it's just this magic book of miracles. Fact is, even in the NT which has the most, there's not a HUGE amount of miracles. Mainly Jesus healing people, and the resurrection, but besides that it's mostly just stories and sermons from Jesus.

So, the better question is; what kind of tree is that supposed to be in those stylized depictions? And why is there a tradition that this one (good and evil) would have that appearance?

I understand where these people are coming from. I had an extreme mushroom experience and I felt Jesus Christ at my peak. However I didn’t think it was Jesus, I knew who Jesus was and showed up to church next week.

Eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is using your five senses. Jesus Christ is divine human imagination. Imagination allows man to stop eating off the tree. So an essence he’s redeemed by Christ which is human imagination. on this level humanity will never understand because they live in the world of Caesar.

this theory comes from one of the first men to study the dead sea scrolls who claimed they were all about a cult of mushroom broth drinking desert hippies who made up jesus. supposedly he was a devout christian who completely turned too atheism afterwards. i find this hard to believe since no other scholars had such a.....come too mushrooms moment when reading them.

Uh - huh. Allegro. The man who invented clickbait half a century before clickbait was invented. I remember this book being serialised in one of the British Tabloid rags when I was in my early teens. Some years later, when I was at Hebrew class in university, the prof - who tended to ramble on about digging up stuff in Palestine - said how he'd once stumbled upon his old pupil John M Allegro digging up something else, and who 'in spite of his promising start with me in Arabic class' couldn't communicate with his Arabic workers, so the prof had to translate for him. Sort of summed it up. I think there may have been somebody on shrooms at some point - only it was two thousand years later than they claimed.
