@blandz
@blandz 5 жыл бұрын
I'm almost inclined to agree, but if you're the ref, you are aware of who these two are and that it is a contentious match; you don't want to be the guy who robbed the fans. I think he stopped this appropriately, as the slaps progressively come from out of the context of an exchange and just are symptoms of Cyborg's frustration and stalling.

@@bjjjudo7415 They dont get favoritism. The problem is that referees and judges sometimes have a off night. And before you say: "Keenan got robbed at worlds cause he aint brazilian". Here is another example that goes against that: Keenan vs Aly at ACB. So my point is that mistakes happen and because brazilians dominate the sport people are going to try to deny their greatness by saying stuff like: " Brazilians get favoritism".

@wutup5566 you are comparing two diferent sports now, you cannot deny the fact that many awesome brazilian grapplers like marcelo garcia and the mendes brothers coming to the us helped the american scene to grow, but i think isn't close from brazil yet, cause if you look the population in the united states is way bigger than in brazil and the fact that almost every major jiu jitsu event is in the us now, is harder from brazilian athletes to compete in there, and still in the last ibjj worlds only 2 americans won they weigh class and 8 brazilians won , but i'm not denying that us have awesome grapplers like gordon ryan and musumeci and there's room for growth. Mma is a much more global sport, even from the 80s and 90s they had pancrase in japan, vale tudo in brazil, you had ufc in america , even in russia they had events, Brazil never really dominated mma as you say, in fact always was brazil and usa competing for the first place, but mma is evolving and many countries have great fighters now, like russia and many european countries and brazil still have contenders in almost every weight class, guys like moicano, marlon moraes, raphael assunção, edson barboza, paulo borrachinha, rda, jacare, johnny walker, pedro munhoz, antonio carlos jr and etc
