Christianity came to north Africa in 60AD, way before it was anywhere near Western Europe. It also wasn’t forced, the missionary Mark brought it to Egypt and it was widely accepted. However in 700AD Islam was quite literally introduced through the Arab Amr ibn al-Asi invading Egypt, but we know poet won’t talk on that. The first to colonise Africa was Portugal all the way in 1480, and it was missionaries driven by antislavery crusades that came to spread the word of god.
