I watched Raven's home purely for the hilarity that is Raven and Chelsea! I haven't watched any of the newer seasons because you're no longer in it :/ But I love your new podcast with Christy! It's refreshing to hear you be so honest.

Chelsea was legit as integral to that show as Raven was, a true icon from my childhood. Disney messed up AGAIN and honestly I don’t forgive them for it, she deserves BETTER😭🙌

It is interesting. First time I see her spoke openly about her firing. She did have a cameo in the newer season but it’s not the same. I sort of feel bad for all the original cast who where let go by Disney. Especially the other three kids, it must have hurt. However Disney are no Angel and I do not think they gave a crap about how those actors they fired would feel, they just think about saving money.

@@outrageouslyrics7262 They only kept Raven and the oldest son Booker and moved them to Raven's father house and introduced a new cast of character. Therefore she was fired along with the other three original kids. Really not cool what Disney did.

@@outrageouslyrics7262 Basically what happened is they got a new creative team that wanted to change the show completely so they got rid of the three kids and Chelsea . Disney, of course do not like the word fired but they where indeed fired as a result of those creative changes. I am sure Disney is not happy that she said it bluntly (I personally love her for that) that they fired her from the show and did not sugar coat it haha But yeah it was none of the 4 actors decision to leave, they had no choice. They would have stayed if Disney would have kept them. But no that does not stop them from doing guest appearances if Disney feels the need to have them show up in the show. A lot of actors in other shows came back for single episode after being fired, they just have a new separate contract for them to appear as guest stars. It is really up to the actors to be forgiving enough to accept or not.

I always hated when a new season meant drastically changing the cast or soft rebooting the show. Raven's Home was so good!! (I think Bunk'd is also a good example of this.)

Anneliese Van Der Pol was a huge part of the success of "Raven's Home." Raven and Anneliese were the "Laverne and Shirley" of the Disney Channel. Disney instantly got rid of her and the show suffered terribly.

Kind of odd considering that a lot of people watched for the duo of Raven AND Chelsea. Like myself. Raven and Chelsea remind me of Brenda and Cindy from Scary Movie. lol Yes, Raven was the star but she was always surrounded with an ensemble. Raven's Home (to me) felt like it was 2/3rds complete. It was missing 1/3 of magic not having Eddie or Cory or more of the original cast as regulars. Or simply characters that were as iconic as the original trio and cast. So the show was already missing something when it came out. It wasn't AS good. Not to mention they went from focusing on Raven and Chelsea to more of the kids for the sequential seasons and it just wasn't as interesting. And Once Chelsea was gone there really was no reason to watch anymore (to me). So it's strange the direction they take shows sometimes. Maybe it was to focus on the kids and less on the originals? Which is fine but you're going to lose viewers.

The reboot of the reboot show was pretty bad. The og Ravens Home was a very good, well constructed reboot, and Raven and her were still the heart of it.

I wonder if that’s what happened to Bunk’d. The Jessie cast plus the two new kids and then poof, new kids & Harper stays. It’s not uncommon to reorg (Veronica Mars original season 4) but it sucks when they completely alter it just to come back for another season.
