Im gonna check in for this one...I would say yes and no. All drugs and alcohol do is bring out true feelings in people , giving them no filter, which if one is jealous, insecure or has an inferior it complex, this will turn into abuse both physical and emotional especially when one is high/drunk. WH spoke about this on Oprah. Without drugs BB would still have the same feelings of jealousy, but he may not have been hurtful to her unless he was high/drunk.

There appear to be a few inconsistencies in Bobby's book. He said "I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice," Ricky Bell (former bandmate) said BB was using drugs at 17 years old. His drug of choice was weed and cocaine which is coincidently what Whitney loved too. Also at the height of Bobby's career (pre-Whitney) a drug dealer put a hit out on him for non payment (cocaine). Suge Knight his bodyguard at the time had to 'settle it'.

Hi I'm new to your channel. I decided to subscribe since I been watching your Whitney Houston videos. I really think Bobby resented Whitney for not being honest about her sexual preference and fekt trapped. That's what caused the physical abuse. If Whitney had not had lesbian tendencies and let Bobby do his thing he would never have had a problem with her at all nor ever put paws and feet on her. He resented her and hated her ( remember he spat in WHITNEY HOUSTON'S face, THE WHITNEY HOUSTON ). She was desired by many men and I guess I can safely say women as well. She didn't need Bobby but she did want him but I do believe she wanted him for the wrong reasons but love dod come. But no relationship ever truly works when the foundation is not solid. She and Bobby's foundation was not built on solid ground. This is some mess! Whitney has a spirit that is very alluring fir both sexes and she knew that ish! She was very seductive even when she probably didn't realize or intend. I know that because I had that years ago.

Honestly I think he was frustrated by the success of his wife. He should have been continuing to focus himself in his solo career and not try to compete with Whitney cause she was on an other level. It made him feel uncomfortable about his inadequacies and the fact she was more successful more than him. She had it all, beauty, talent, fame and money. Not many men can deal with those kinds of women, not many men can leave in the shadows of their wives. It brings jealousy, destruction and frustration! I remember when in some interview when they were calling Whitney, Ms Houston and he said "no, she is Ms Brown"!! He was frustrated! No one call Catherine Zeta Jones Ms Douglas o Beyonce Ms Jay-Z. Bobby might be a good guy, but he wasn't a good husband and I'm not talking about the drugs because everyone knows that they were doing drugs before they met!!!
