This is all quite shameful and irresponsible of Macron. The ICC has jurisdiction and it has ruled as such. There is no diplomatic immunity conferred to Heads of State under Article 27 of the Rome Statute. If there were, Hitler would have immunity too. Bravo to France 24 for properly reporting this.

The fact remains that the court have no jurisdiction over Isreal. This must be understood by all. The US, Israel and many other countries and individuals who are against the ICC verdict have been saying this. US officials have also warned the countries in support of ICC of the consequences of their actions.

The unfortunately thing about this ICC verdict is the fact that any country that arrest a president or prime minister of another country in the name of the ICC risk trouble with that country which may even trigger a war situation. Already US is warning those countries that intend to implement the verdict against Israel. Those countries should be away that when trouble comes out, the ICC will be no where to help them. Take for instance, Israel with its high tech military and renowned intelligence agencies like mosad can curse enoumous problem for such countries arresting their prime minister.
