I think if you are using the aesthetics of your body as part of your "evidence" to support your claims, you lose the right to expect people not to comment on the aesthetics of your body. If you base your whole argument on "I look better than anyone else, therefore I know better than anyone else" like she does, you can't expect people to just never disagree with you or criticize your arguments because that will by extension involve criticism of your body. That's a totally different thing than body shaming someone that never talks about their own body to discredit or insult them, which is something Freelee does herself anyways.

Isn’t your standards should apply to you not other people and how they act? If I’m against body shaming I’m against. End of story. Freelee never claimed that no one can comment her body as she admits that she’s doing it all the time to herself and others. It’s just about hypocrisy. Swayze was talking about Leanne and Harley blatantly calling people they didn’t like “fat” and “lazy” and taunting them about their fatty, meaty diets and how they couldn’t compare to them athletically. She was pointing out how demeaning it was and how it doesn’t motivate anyone, it just shows Leanne and Harley up as being @$$holes. This is true. If you want to motivate someone, being offensive is not the way to do it, yet it is precisely what both Leanne and her ex did back in the day. Swayze was right to call that behaviour out.

And I kindly disagree with you as well about motivation because Freelee probably demotivate lots of people but motivates even more. She even used to motivate Swayze. I’m watching her for motivation myself. The problem is she’s very opinionated but also I see this as being passionate. She truly believe what she’s preaching and is not showing shortcuts and that’s what people hate. These days everyone needs to, let’s call it, “cheat”. Cheat day, cheat meal, just waffle. If someone is eating clean it’s apparently a disorder 😂 I understand we all need acceptance more than ever but I think we also need someone like Freelee who doesn’t aloud compromises. someone who cares about the quality of food they are eating and is clearly getting enough calories hence enough micronutrients as well - does not have a ED .she does not only eat from one food group and eats mostly fruit along with grains, vegetables, and nuts+seeds. that is absolutely a healthy way to eat if you can sustain it long term without gaining excess or losing excess weight and are happy dieting that way. you are not her dietician or her healthcare provider, so don't act like you can diagnose anyone with an ED. i have never seen freelee promote a caloric range that is unhealthy given the quality of food she consumes.
@corneliahanimann2173
@corneliahanimann2173 2 жыл бұрын
@@khushisukhi28 I don't think you understand eating disorders, because they exist on a spectrum. You can't just boil it all down to, she does not have a caloric deficit, because first of all, you don't know that about her, and second of all, caloric deficit is not the equivalent of an eating disorder, that would suggest that anyone who is trying to lose weight immediately also suffers from an eating disorder. No, what can clearly be said about Freelee's behaviour is that it is very controlled and has similar patterns to OCD. I feel like she would feel uncomfortable and unfullfilled if she ate this way and decided to skip out on her daily bikeride for a day, I feel like she'd immediately try to make up for it by doing some other type of exercise or anything and that behaviour isn't normal, the way she obsesses over the right and wrong foods, the fact alone that she categorises food into good and evil food by labelling them in negative associated terms, says everything about her having at least one type of disorder. That is not normal, in human nature you can slip up or just be lazy for a day with your strict diet, food is not a religion and you should never start identifying with just the food you eat...like, this is behaviour you only get from people that have really nothing else going on, anyone who has a career and lives a fullfilling life won't be this obsessed with food, it's really only people that try to get back the last piece of control in their life start to develop eating disorders where they at least get control over their weight. Freelee doesn't need to be on the verge of death to have an eating disorder, or any other disorder, disorders don't necessarily kill you, they are just going to interfere with your life in a way where you can't interact with peopoe in yout environment like you normally would because your disorder is getting priority, and unfortunatly Freelee also checks that box, do you think she could have a normal 9-5 job like everyone else in her life? No, she can't work for that long because she dedicates so much of her time in preparing her meals and riding her bike, she has not done any work or esucation in the past 10 years because she has dedicated all that time to her disorder! She does everything to be slim, because what does she truly have when she's not slim anymore? This woman has monetized her disorder... It just is what it is.

@@corneliahanimann2173 what does having a daily exercise regimen have to do with having an ED. many healthy individuals live very active lifestyles including athletes who need to workout intensely for 5+ hours a day to stay optimally fit. I can also guarantee you that at least 80% of ppl who work 9-5 jobs out of NEED and DESPERATION for financial survival would DO ANYTHING to be in the position of freelee - living off grid and having access to healthy whole foods year round (me included) + having a small circle of friends and a supportive online community. are you saying that someone biles has an ED just because she makes money off an active lifestyle and daily intense training + performance. I too workout 2 hours daily without excuses and would not feel comfortable performing any brain based tasks like working at a desk or talking to someone if I skip out on my daily sessions. You are not her dietician and OCD is a MUCH more serious issue that you should never assume someone has unless you are trained in psychology/therapy.

We seem to have very different ideas on what a content life really is. What makes you think she is doing somwthing right? I don't know how you get to that conclusion, because to me everything about her screams disordered, and we don't personally know her, a lot of people think everything is fine while they are spending a lot of their time convincing themselves that everything is fine. I'm seriously baffled how you could come to the conclusion that she is doing "something" right. What do you mean by that, is there some type of data or result you can point to that suggests things are going well for her? Because this woman has been unemployed for 10+ years, and she isn't raising kids or creating the type of quality content for someone that is making youtubevideos for a living... The quality of her videos seems to even have worsened since she doesn't even film herself when she is doing a reaction video but only does voice-overs now, and her views have really faced a decline, so what exactly is there that makes you think she is doing something right and whatever you consider an example, what makes you think that isn't a facade for social media that she is keeping up while everythingnis crumbling behind that facade?

Ok , so mentioning fat covering someone's muscles is called fact if thats the case and mentioning someone showing more bone due to a diet that has made them extremely lean is called fact. Fact is not shameful or shame or shaming, its just a fact , if the truth about this fact bothers you then its a personal issue , means that its probably then taken as criticism and then makes you feel shame , if you feel shame due to fact , then it is a personal thing you feel personally, up to you how you deal with it really. I do not think its body shaming at all. Someone sure as hell could shame me for being overweight hell yeah , but it is also a fact and it would make me feel bad cos its the truth . Its legit the truth. I have struggled with weight now for 10 years + since my first child . Mainly due to low self esteem and bad diet choices but that is the fact of how i got here pretty much. People forget that a fact is a fact and how you respond to a fact being called out or mentioned or stated is then a personal feeling in response.

I just don't buy the "body shaming" crisis people throw around. That does not mean I think we should indiscriminately shame people over their physical appearance, but the word "shame" is grossly overused. Saying someone is "overweight" or "boney" is not body shaming, it's an objective statement in many cases. Sure, it may be colored with some personal opinion or judgement, but grow up, human beings express opinions, and every opinion is going to offend SOMEONE. The pendulum has swung WAY too far into being overly sensitive and having people more interested in signaling how virtuous they are than being genuine. Good for you for not bending the knee on this. It's fair to apologize for unintentionally causing hurt, but you don't need to admit being "wrong" in doing so. Intention matters.

I am probably 20+ lbs overweigh still and one of my GP's told me that was safer and healthier in case of times of scarcity.. I guess maybe he's an apocalypse kinda faither, idono.. but it was nice to hear that I have to admit. During my 7month Keto journey I've lost about 50'lbs altogether. (and gained a few back and lost a few and gained it back again lol) and I still ahve a chubby belly and a fat ass. For the record I'm 6'3' and almost exactly 200lbs and I have very lean muscles. Im definietely somewhat under muscled for my size. Specifically my upper body. But Im not a weakling.

Scarcity can mean any health issue. I am (barely but still) underweight and when I got pneumonia a few years ago I lost some weight. If a were normal or a little overweight it would have been fine but I ended up pushing 90lbs with no muscle left really quickly and my recovery was a lot slower afterwards. I was trying thin for the looks of it but now I make a point of being within the normal weight range.

I WILL SAY shaming didn't solve smoking, hence why vaping took over depite it being the exact same action. It's freely available medical education that helps. Big tobacco actually supported the ban of commercials on television for example. Why?? Marketing is how you sell shit, so why??? Because a law was passed that for every so many tobacco ads you had to play even MORE anti-smoking infomercials and PSAs. Most people won't say they don't smoke because it makes you look stupid or uncool or ugly... *They say they don't want cancer.* Shaming doesn't really work for issues of addict like that, informing people of the health effects DOES however! Same thing with veganism, people shut out things they don't like and animal abuse is one of those things. You face less censorship and pushback when you make it about eating healthy. Because it's less graphic and less emotional while stating more factual medical information. Shame doesn't really work for anything but making people hate themselves. Think of every embarrassing memory that pops in your head right before bed, have those improved your moral character??? Has being tormented by previously calling a teacher mom made you a healthier person??? *No.* You feel shame, but that's it. You're not less likely to make that mistake again, you're just miserable at 12 am while trying to sleep for work in the morning. If you want good change, education ALWAYS helps. People make decisions based on the information we have and we ARE an intelligent species. We generally make better decisions when educated because we like better outcomes. So tell people how to avoid bad outcomes. Because people react to shame differently and there are PLENTY of people who will intentionally do something you shamed them for BECAUSE you shamed them. Others will get trapped in cycles of self-hatred. And even more will just try and not think about it to protect their mental health. Education over shame EVERY time.

One of the biggest issues I have with Freelee and her “results “ is that she does have breast implants , it is not possible to have such a large chest yet be so lean . And I find this comparable to the way the Kardashians promote diet /workout yet it is mostly down the surgery . Nothing wrong with plastic surgery /implants but Freelee never mentions her implants and shames other women for wearing makeup / having cosmetic procedures when she has implants and even if she regrets them , you really can’t sit there with breast implants and say “makeup “ is unnatural and bad . Plus it’s kind of strange to be so concerned with health that you won’t eat cooked food yet not be concerned about the implications of implants when there are a lot of health issues that can come with them . On a side note if you look up the people from Freelees testimonials most of the people do not follow raw till 4 anymore 🤷‍♀️ most of these testimonials are from 2015/16

I've followed her for years and she has talked about them and never hid it. People make decisions in youth and have to live with the consequences years to come. I'm kind of jealous of your platonic longterm-relationship with Freelee. Like you guys go waaay back... it's kind of cute how you only communicate via video responses. 🥺

I’ll be part of your royal “we”, lol. I’m just done with Freelee, she’s a bully at this point. She’s turning into the Regina George of this lifestyle.

She passive aggressively calls you fat in the video where she’s upset about being “body shamed”. Says “she’s been trying to get lean for years”, or “she just has fat covering her arms”. Lol. Freelee is just the worst. I can’t.

"This is the weight my body naturally settles at..." wait WHAT? Her whole point is "eat like me to look like me" if this is her her god given weight then there is NO POINT to following her diet for similar results. I have a body type similar to Freelee. I am 5'10" and 135 pounds naturally (177 cm and 60 kg) and I am NOT a vegan, I eat high fat, high protein not for any particular point but because I am athletic like crazy and I am just trying to meet a baseline of caloric needs. I could easily just say nonsense like "eat bacon and eggs like me and you will have my body type."

Shame never works, it shuts down the part of the brain that promotes growth and change. As a 58 year old ex smoker. Shame had NOTHING to do with my will to quit. Education on the actual harm smoking caused the body and brain helped me quit smoking. It was no longer glamorized in ads and I watched enough people suffer with COPD to want to quit. Almost every ex-smoker will tell you the same. With that said; most of your video was kind and compassionate. I do agree with your analysis that promoting “thin is in” is a dangerous expectation to put on young ladies. The goal should always be health. I have a small frame at 5’1 a family member two years younger, at 5’10 wanted my shape. Not realizing I envied her model height & figure. We all need to rock what we got!

Please tell my mom this lol. Whenever I’m open and vulnerable with her, it ends with me feeling anxious and confused
