I know several people who have gotten the vaccine that have contracted the covid virus. Also those quick test aren't very accurate. I tested negative on and did the main test and it came back positive. I also had a cat-scan of my lungs that showed that I had covid.

If you are vaccinated you can still get the virus, but the probability of dying or having any severe symptoms is extremely low, so people who have access to the vaccine and dont get it are extremely stupid!

Yes had 5 tests before come back positive but I knew I had it. Rapid tests only 50% accurate on day 7-10. Vaccines only work with population herd immunity & if you do catch covid vaccinated most likely mild symptoms vs end up in hospital

Thank God! That you are young! Thank God! That you already were very very healthy. You probably had the covid and the worst is over. Here in Los Angeles the mask requirement is back. Yeah, its a bummer! There is a hospital by our home that has 50 covid patients admitted and another 50 in the emergency department waiting for beds. It is our understanding that all of these covid patients never got a vaccine. Whether you realize it or not, what you kids are doing takes a lot of courage to travel in a foreign country during this pandemic. It is a fact that you guys are great ambassadors for Mexico and every city that you visit. You and a few of the other KZbinrs are very effective in selling the country of Mexico and helping their tourist industry.

I got Covid back in March. BC I'm older I got hospitalized with pneumonia from Covid. From watching your videos I think you got that at the Tequila hotel. For $25 you can't get lots of guaranteed sanitized room which is different to just clean. They do that in high tourist areas like Vallarta or Cancún but not in small towns bottom-of- the- barrel type if place. Then what made it worse was that looong trip back to Vallarta via Guadalajara. Covid is opportunistic and was ready waiting for your defenses to be lower to take a hold of yr body. And it did. You can't stay in cheap hotels in out of theway areas bc they are good breeding grounds for viruses in general. Good thing your young and strong. Glad you re better now. Live and learn👍😎🙏

Glad you are better William. I had something very similar over the 4th of July weekend except I thing my cough was worse that yours. I was coughing my lungs out for 3-4 days straight. My rapid antigen test was also negative. PCR test a week after I was feelin better was also negative (and thankfully free with my health insurance). I think both tests were taken at non-optimal times. I felt miserable and would not wish it on the elderly or frail. See you next video!

Thank you William for another wonderful video, I love Vallarta. I would not worry too much about getting sick in Mexico. I have been to Mexico over 20 times and have often gotten sick before COVID-19 with the same symptoms as you and worse. Now as I have been there many times I rarely get sick. I believe it is that I have some immunity to the viruses in Mexico now that I have been exposed to them.

Hi William. The antigen test you took is catches about 80% of positive Covid cases. The more expensive PCR test is up around 90-95% accurate. The test that you would take in a couple of weeks to see if you actually had Covid is an antibody test. (I work in a hospital laboratory). I've had it twice plus the vaccine in between. Your symptoms sound like what I had both times. Started with a sore throat, then got itchy and watery eyes, lots of coughing, tons of fatique, etc. My second quick test came back negative but they tell you that it isn't all that accurate. You're young so you rebounded faster. I'm in my 50's so it takes me months to fully get over it.

Getting in the pool is a gift for me as in the pool i can run n jump and have no pain. Health is so important and wish i didnt work so many 60 hour weeks nights nursing cuz now at 59 im disabled with chronic pain and degenerative joint disease. Glad u are feeling better. It's important that people see that Covid is very real. Even with the negative test, I suspect you had it. I hope Maria stays fine. It's a testament to the worth of vaccination even for young people. ETN Turistar usually have His as well as Her bathrooms - now that is civilized! I love the double deckers. Costs a bit more but compared to Europe or US it is still very reasonable and despite the length of travel compared to a plane - you see what is between locations and Mexico is a beautiful country - more than just beaches! Also, time to get to the airport, pass through security, arrive, disembark, get into town.... 1 hour trip can turn easily into a 5 hour trip! I just moved to Hawaii and they were requiring a COVID test - $165 plus was typical - fortunately, they allowed proof of vaccine - rule change happened 4 days before my travel date so I didn't have to fork out. I miss my annual (sometimes bi-annual trip to Mexico). Queretaro and Taxco are two of my favorite destinations! Love the food, the atmosphere and the people! Viva Mexico! Can't wait to find my next favorite cities and places once I am more free to travel.

Hi William ! After traveling so much, well into 2021, chances are zero that you haven’t had Covid already. Probably asymptomatic due to age and fitness. What i do advice is to stay away from dirty swimming pools and CERTAINLY from public fountains ! You can get very sick from bird droppings. It looks more like an allergic reaction from what i’ve seen in this video.

Antigen test is for post infection or to gauge large scale community spread. That's why they require the PCR test for flying.
