I've been made aware of a post after running this where the poster scaled more quant (with a risk scarab instead of boss, and Twist of Fate atlas keystone) and got much better results. Much more loot in 36 maps than I got in 50. I will link the post in the description. Maybe rarity* works, maybe I got unlucky and he got lucky, who knows. You need to be able to run every single T16 map mod if you want to try that, or be ready to brick 1.5 div maps. Still not a fan of ultimatum :D Thanks for watching!

I farmed a mageblood in ultimatum this league with the afk build. There were definitely dry streaks but it picks up.

When the league launched the inscribed ultimatums had a clear bias towards divine doubles (and high tier uniques/div cards) at least when using the bribing scarabs. This got stealth nerfed a couple of days after the league launched in one of the patches, it got reduced by around 80% (sample size of ~300 maps post-nerf). You could make hundreds of divines a day abusing this pre-nerf. During this time buying inscribed divine doubles (or unique/div card) was also extremely profitable because so many were dropping, you were usually making 2-5d profit per run even without the worst mods. After the nerf more and more people started buying inscribed ultimatums heavily reducing the profitability. From all the currency farming strategies we tested this league pre-nerf ultimatum was by far the best on regular T16 even compared to soft juiced T17 strategies.

If anyone wants a way cheaper and effective version of this strat, replace scarab of catalysing with expedition scarab of runefinding and use extreme archaeology on the atlas tree and scratching up the ground for Tujen. You get less inscribed but I am averaging 4 or 5 per run. I think the average cost of the way I do it is 25c per map and I get that back just in the tainted catalysts from fighting the boss every 10th wave from the dueling scarab. You should also run 8-mod maps as rarity/quant does have an effect on rewards.

What would be a nice statistic is to level up gems every single strat. Comparing the amount of exp that you get in all of them, and eventually showing how much you made from only leveling gems across all those strats, similar to what you did with kingsmarch and the mageblood saga... Would be a fun ideia to farm a mb with only that side hustle overtime

I have a variation of this strategy but I don't think it's more profitable unless reward scaling actually impacts inscribed ultimatums or catalysts: scarab of awakening for imbued ritual + scarab of preservation to mitigate the price of all the expensive scarabs (I did this when they were closer in price now it may not be worth it), you get 13 rounds with no downside. It really depends if later rounds of ultimatum have better rewards (known to be true for rewards that are not catalysts or inscribed ultimatums but couldn't find evidence for these 2). If reward scaling does not depend on bribing scarabs you can maybe do some weird strat like adding really expensive scarabs such as the ambush containment one with all strongbox nodes or horned scarab of glittering for free

I'd like to see the difference between normal harvest and beast harvest. Using the beast atlas passive that give quant / rarity stacks if the mobs get freed, you can get up to 100% inc quant / rarity in harvest, since all harvest mobs are beasts

Running Ult with 2x bribe, duel, inscription got me my first mirror using a fulcrum afk chieftain. But it took a looong time, it's a very up and down strategy, if it wasn't for the random double corrupted uniques that popped up now n then and sold for 10-20+ div it would've been a hot trash Strat tbh. Probably can't do 13 runs because stormcaller runes very likely bricks the run because of his build. (-200 lightning res) And that one is common. So whenever it's randomly selected, you pretty much lose all the rest.

Do not take the notable that makes the arena 3% smaller per round in exchange for +1 reward count. It is a REALLY BAD NODE. Unironically when playing a half decent build the 13-round keystone that removes your choice agency is less of a pain in the arse than this notable. You want to do ultimatums in a map like Dunes that is wide-open and will allow you to move as freely as you can, to not get gang-raped by 10 overpowered rares or have 10 damaging floor effects overlap and oneshot you. Manuvering space is at a premium in Ultimatum. Otherwise it's a pretty gambly strategy with this kind of scarab price. If you drop catalyst -> inscribed conversion you'll turn more consistent profit. Duplication node will often hit prismatic or fertile catalysts, and even if it doesn't you can sell those bad catalysts in bulk, about 100 of them will make up one divine orb. Catalysts are useful to everybody, even the 1c ones like attack modifiers or caster modifiers.

what planet do you live on, bad catalysts selling for a div? 100 bad catalysts are less than 10c. if 3% smaller arena per round is an issue for you, you play a bad build for ultimatum, i even love the reduced arena size option the ultimatum offers as a choise usually

I think the div per hour is higher with less investment honestly. It's probably better in an alc&go strat. Or as extra juice alongside another strat like harvest. Combo ultimatum + harvest alc&go is pretty legit.

with my group we would be making 12-14d an hours by just putting all cheap scarab (not the boss and the catalysing) , lot of t1 with good corrupt drop such as ralakesh or diallia , for very cheap invest , and you only have to stay in your bed and click things, the boss is worthless unless you wanna gamble the helmet

@Discipol ah it's just a bit of extra juice for the map. You don't need all 132 points to grab ultimatum, and since you map rolls don't have to be 8 mods or high quant, ritual is the next best thing. The wisp gives around 1k/1k5 per circle, so every map u get around 10/12k which enough for 5 rerolls.

I'm an ee trickster too but built differently. Not going as much into block ect. I like running ultimatums along side maven witnessing/entry level bossing i.e. guardian maps. I've never used the catalyzing + inscribed combo. However, I take Ruinous Wager and Gruelling Gauntlet. I also do not take Stand Your Ground nor the small notables that add extra monsters leading to it. I just use to two bribing scarabs and obviously not doing the boss either so no dueling. I am able to go 13/13 waves 9 out of 10 times. Because quant and pack size doesn't matter too much for ultimatums except your catalyst amounts is why I opt for Maven as the side hustle. And because I am doing Gruelling Gauntlet not having to take sketchy alters gives me the best opportunity to go the distance. So Maven just works out very well for my strat. The maven frags, maven chisels and guardian drops (orbs, frags ect) give enough steady income to weather unlucky streaks with ultimatums. However, ultimatum is almost always profit just using two bribing scarabs with shear chaos and catalyst drops alone. And I would consider an unlucky streak not seeing a lot of raw chaos. Especially since I have a build capable of doing Gruelling Gauntlet and have Worthy of Present (bonus chance to see currency type rewards) I often times see high value. My other 3 scarab slots if anyone is reading this and wondering is just sac frags (sacrifice at dusk ect.) if I bother using any at all. And a warning that you need a very strong build to take both Ruinous Wager and Gruelling Gauntlet. And a good build too. One of these cast when stunned pretend ultimatum characters won't cut it.
