I'm also aiming toward 100 books this year! I've been holding steady at 50 for so long, and i know i can do better if i just make the time. I don't know how close I'll get, but right now i'm on track for it. Good luck on this reading adventure!

How many years have you successfully read 50 books in a year? That is super impressive! Ever since I graduated from university (with an English degree) I have really not been good at reading regularly. This year my (extremely conservative) goal is to read 10 books in 2019. Gah! I'm also impressed and inspired by your non-use of plastic. AWESOME. You go, Glenn Coco. I didn't know you liked to draw--me, too. :)
@hannahclaire83555 жыл бұрын
I can relate! I love to read although am historically bad at doing it regularly. I set myself a conservative, manageable goal of 12 books, and I feel comfortable with that one-per-month average. I think a manageable goal is encouraging me to remember I'm wanting to read more books for the joy of it, rather than the ego-boost it would give me if I were able to read 50 books per year. I think it's about right for me too; I've definitely been spending more of my time reading so far in 2019, and with one book finished and a couple more on the go, I think my conservative, manageable goal was just right :~) I hope you're enjoying whatever you're currently reading xx

It is so peaceful to listen to you speak and talk about your resolutions. I feel motivated to make resolutions. The resolutions I made for this year are -to try and stop using plastics much, getting some plants, reading non-fiction, reading fiction alongside.

hi sanne! i had never touched illustrator before i decided to return to school to get my graphic design degree in september 2016, so i definitely understand where you're coming from. i was suddenly spending bare minimum 36 hours a week between classes and homework using illustrator, while all of my classmates already had a base knowledge of the program that i didn't have. it's NOT an easy program to figure out, and i commend you for wanting to try to learn it. what worked best for me was starting off with simpler tools that felt more "graspable". for me, this was the pen tool and shape tool; i would pull things in to illustrator and trace them using the pen tool then add colours. i would also look at images on pinterest and try to think of how to recreate them and i would use youtube tutorials to try to show me how to do anything that i couldn't figure out on my own. even now (nearly 2.5 years later and having used illustrator on an almost daily basis), i still wouldn't say that i'm an expert in illustrator, and i'm sure there's lots of people who utilize illustrator in their daily lives who also feel this way. good luck!

I really love how you're a very creative person, but also very organized. I'm a super organized/logical type person, but I Love creative stuff and wish I could get more into it. Most really ~artsy~ people seem to have just a completely different mindset from me which makes it seem unattainable, but you have such a good balance which inspires me!! I hope you have an outstanding 2019

I love that your resolutions are about positive things you want to do rather than just things you want to stop doing. I'm becoming more vegan, although it's almost accidental - I've been diagnosed lactose intolerant and find lots of vegan products are helpful in cutting out dairy. I look forward to watching more about your adventures with food, travel, freelance work and, of course, your goal of reading 100 books this year 🤓

If you want a delicious vegan choc-chip cookie recipe that is very quick and easy, look up Liv B! I've also been really trying to buy less plastic and I never buy cookies now because she has so many amazing recipes with very cheap and simple ingredients that I make sure to have in my flat at all times. You can literally whip them up in 20 minutes (that's including baking time, I often also just make a small batch just to eat the cookie dough, woops) so they're really quick and something I make very often just to relax or when I want something sweet ^^ xx

Copenhagen is absolutely lovely! Probably my favourite Scandinavian city. However, if you would like to travel to Oslo, I would recommend going autumn 2020, as lots of museums are "reopening"/moving to larger buildings etc, the Munch museum & national gallery, for instance :)

Hey Sanne! I live in Copenhagen. One time you posted on twitter about wanting to go here, and I sent you a pretty long list of recommendations. I’d be happy to make you a new list, if you decide to go this year. Copenhagen is ever changing and expanding, so a lot of new, cool places have popped up in the last couple of years. Let me know if you need any advice!

People hate on resolutions because of the pressure, but I’m the same. I need the pressure. Also, I try to spend time every December/January digitally “cleaning” my stuff also.

A digital clearout! I knew there was still something missing in my 30 before 30 list - which was inspired by your list ;) There are more than 30 things on the list now though.. haha. Also I want to be 90% vegetarian this year :)
