Never have I come across one with the original receipt, and from Paris at that! Wow and woW backwards! lol. 😅 I just purchased one from Fashionphile, a 2014 Reissue aged leather in grey 226 marked in very good condition. Mine came with the authencity card and that's it! No dust bag, no box and DEFINITELY no receipt. $2866. With tax it totalled to $3,088 (discounted 20 percent plus an additional 10 percent off sale) I wasn't suppose to spend money on a bag, but I knew I would totally REGRET passing it up. I don't typically find 2014+ Reissue bags in very good condition for the price I paid. Good for you for sticking to your goal of not buying. Something else will pop up when you are ready.❤❤❤❤❤

Oh yes...I've definitely been there. You brought up several valid reasons to hesitate and it shows how thoughtful you're being with your funds. Regarding the no buy month, I would say there are a few exceptions to that and this bag at that price would be one of them. The points you mentioned about being financially responsible (having different accounts, having the money in the luxury account instead of borrowing from other accounts)...all excellent. But I would say there are a few exceptions and this bag at that price would be one of them. Your point about the bag not being on your wish list was a good one but...you know what I'm going to say, right? There are certain bags at certain prices that are allowed to break the responsible rules you set for yourself, and this (for me anyway) is one of them. That said, here's why I think you were right to pass it up. 1. It was hard to tell from the photos but it looked like the condition could be better. One of the rules I set for myself when I was searching for my Reissue is that it had to be in excellent condition because even if I found a bargain (like under $3,000) that's still a TON of money to spend on a bag that has obvious wear. 2. You already have 2 Chanel flap bags and they're very similar to the Reissue. 3. If you want the metallic silver Reissue (which does go with everything) you'll be able to find another one at a great price. It will just take time and patience. It stinks when you miss out on something because you're trying to be responsible, though.

Thank you for your detailed comment Autumn - now that I read it, comes to my mind, that maybe your Metallic Reissue might be a reason, why every now and then the „maybe I want one“-thoughts pop up in my mind. I know it has been a dreambag of you for a long time and you‘ve been on the hunt for the right one for quite a while. Since the description of this one didn’t name any flaws and the condition was stated as „very good“, I hope VestiaireCollective wouldn’t have let it pass, if the condition wasn’t very good (but with VC you never know 100% for sure 😅🙈). I‘ll try to make up my mind, how I really feel about the Reissue and if I really want one - so next time I stumble across a good deal, I‘ll know better what to do. I think I probably would not have regretted buying this one🤔 (if the condition was as expected), but not buying it at the moment, probably was the right thing to do for me.

I get everything you recounted as I am currently feeling the exact same way about a Zoé wallet for a steal of a deal and it comes with EVERYTHING too! But we are on a journey to becoming more mindful and girl, you've just overcome a very big test. You should be proud of yourself.💪This Chanel reissue sure was a bargain but your handbag-buying career is still long ahead of you. One day, the bargain of a lifetime will pop up at exactly the right moment. You will get it then!✨️

One of my No-Buy slips was a LV wallet aswell 😖 , that I knew for a while, that I wanted it for sure. I ordered it before the price increase, because I didn’t know how much it would go up and I definitely wanted to buy it one day 😕 - it‘s a slip for the challenge, but I didn’t want to buy it in March and then pay more, just because I stayed mindful for a challenge. Haven’t opened the package yet and won‘t do it, before March, aswell as I‘ll put it on my March shopping budget and safe Februarys entire disposable income

The struggle is real!!! If you weren’t completely in love with it, and only buying it because it was a great deal, then you made the right decision. I have been reminding myself that all of these things will not disappear if I don’t buy them now, and maybe an even better deal will come along. 😘. I think you will enjoy your purchase more when you feel like you have saved a little for it.

Although i cannot imagine how i am gonna dress the silver chanel reissue. I know the history of the reissue is tempting and it would be nice to have a piece of that history in my collection. I think that kind of silver grey is super neutral and would have gone with most likely everything - but now I won’t find out, if I‘m right with that thought 😁 Already a few days passed since I filmed that video and I‘m starting to feel somewhat better with my decision 😁… it was a good price, but if I don’t completely love/need it, it‘s still way too much money to spend 💸

Well you put yourself on a ‘no buy’ challenge because you felt a need to do so. If you had bought this bag, you’d probably get buyer’s remorse after anyway. I think as lux lovers, we need to be careful not to fall into the trap of owning something just because it’s a ‘must have’ even if we’re not in love with it. That is unless you have unlimited source of funds which I personally don’t have! 😆 Having said that, the Reissue you found was beautiful though so kudos to you for resisting temptation! 💪💪💪 Thanks for sharing hun and have a great weekend 🌹💕💕

But I‘m worried about new, upcoming collections - the prices don’t make sense anymore. No regrets. You probably wouldn’t love it for long if you had purchased that Reissue. Do you really like that bag or you wanted her because of the price? If I had seen that Reissue, I would have passed her too. To be honest, she is not pretty. A year later, she would be a dust collector in your closet. Reselling that bag with much more money? Uhm,,,, that could be challenging, because she is really not an attractive bag. 😂

@@LuMiLevelUp yes, I had your experience, I know how you felt. However, I don’t buy for bargains anymore. Storing bags takes up a lot of spaces, selling bags is a hassle, also needs to pay commission. (I sell on eBay for seller’s protection, 9% fee on bags over $2k USD.) I only invest in bags that make my heart sing, not a dust collector in the closet. That Reissue wasn’t a right bag. She is…, sorry to say , really not a good representative of Chanel brand….very ugly. 😂
