Bro this one hit me different.. I hooped In college too and of course I had dreams of making it pro but just like you a lot wasn’t going my way from injuries to not making the final cut for an overseas team and I just felt like I failed at life because basketball was all I knew the court was my sanctuary it was therapy just hearing the ball bounce and the net swishing man it’s an unreal feeling. When I realized my dreams were fading away i fell into depression, but I can honestly say God had something different planned for me bro because I have my own trucking company now and I’m inspiring/teaching people on my KZbin how to get in the industry too. I never thought I would have this much of an impact without basketball. I hate to be long winded but I wanted to share this for you and the people in the comments. When things seem like they aren’t going as planned just understand that something great is in store just weather the storm 🙏🏽 this was a great video bro

I cried watching this bro. I’m tryna hoop in college and a lot of things been happening to my family financially and emotionally. I’m only 20 but I turn 21 on the 30th of March. I plan on trying out at an hbcu in my city or anywhere else tbh. I feel empty without basketball. Feels like I never had the chance at anything in life and I’ve always had setbacks with multiple injuries since I graduated high school 3 yrs ago. Sometimes a pause or blockage appears in our lives that makes no sense to us - but the reality is we just might not be ready to move down that specific path at that time. I don’t usually comment but I had to bro. People don’t understand that the biggest transition in a major athletes life is when it’s time for them to realize that their identity is so much more than just the sport. I ended up realizing that basketball became an idol in my life because I wanted to get my family out too. I genuinely could have too, I have a lot of friends that play in the NBA and play D1 right now, but I prayed a prayer at a young age “Lord if making it to the NBA takes me away from you I don’t want it” because my true dream was to break generational curses by having a Godly marriage(divorce is rampant in my family), being a Father because mine wasn’t there and doing business. Fast forward now I am 22 years old married to my beautiful Wife going on 3 years with a beautiful 8 month old daughter and growing my business career all because I chose God’s plan over what my small and immature brain could process at the time. Keep going on the journey God has for you bro. For so long we felt like being athletes was all we were, but through our freedom and purpose in Christ He blessed us with the understanding that it is sooo much bigger than that! Rooting for you bro, praying for you and definitely know that the Lord is gonna allow us to like one of these days 🙏🏽✊🏽

God is amazing. This feels like a teaser to a autobiography documentary (which I believe WILL happen someday). All I could think about whilst watching you share your heart was how much sweeter your testimony will be; no one knows the plan of God but your obedience and yielding to His voice is something I wish for many people. This is the beauty of ‘Child like faith’, not knowing where you’re walking to next but trusting God enough to move when His cloud moves. I just went to my daughters 8th grade graduation it was my first time seeing her in 7 years because her mom took her away from me and yesterday I was reunited with her I’ve prayed so much over the last seven years I even questioned god cause he didn’t answer my prayers I was depressed and wanted to take my life but I had my son who’s older than his sister with me full time and I couldn’t do that to him I had to stay strong for my lil man.
