The snowman socks 😂👌🏼 I believe I ran out of gas once too. It started to shake a bit and die. And did again before I got up the hills towards my house. Pushed it home. Quite the sight.

The new camera looks good. I went through this weird phase of always stalling my bike. No idea what was wrong with me lol.

I get that. At least for me, something will happen and then it'll KEEP happening because I'm overthinking things or whatnot. Thanks for watching!

Found out the hard way freaking bike gauge on INT 650 left me stranded on a back road, same thing I had 3 bars no blinking or sputter. Just turns off walk a bike for 3 to 4 miles till a rancher guy helped out with spare gas. This too was in Texas...
@JoyonaBike4 жыл бұрын
That’s the worst! Glad someone was able to help you out.
@dogphlap67494 жыл бұрын
You should get a clue as to how empty the bike was by how much you needed to put in the tank to fill it up. The GT will take 12.5 litres (3.3 US gallons) when empty. The gauge has such a bad reputation I ignore it and fill up every 200km (close enough to 125 miles, that will give you plenty of safety margin).
@JoyonaBike4 жыл бұрын
Yea I don’t think I paid attention to how much gas I put in at the station. But ~125 miles sounds like a good fill up point to me too.
@dgratale4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the gauge is known to be wonky as it can have many bars and then it can quickly drop to 1 bar, but it has a 3.2 gallon tank and gets approximately 75 mile/gallon...so 137 miles should not have emptied the tank. Does it have a reserve that needs to be turned on? Older bikes have this, and you need to reach down on the left side just under the tank where it meets the seat and turn the stop-cock to the reserve.
@JoyonaBike4 жыл бұрын
I don't think this bike has a reserve. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it in the future. Thanks for watching!
@prash87874 жыл бұрын
This one does not have a reserve switch because this is fuel injected - the older carburetor models had that reserve switch - but an RE mechanic told one of my friends who owns this bike that generally when the last bar starts blinking you have 5 liters of fuel (2.5 liters + 2.5 liters in reserve - some weird calculation) - but since this is fuel injected you should probably not push your bike all the way into that last 2.5 liters of reserve fuel - instead fill it up as soon as the last bar starts blinking and it should not stall

Oh the Texas weather! I have projects outside and it seems when I have the time the weather either turns cold or it rains. It’s gonna be summer and 100 degrees before I can get things done 🤣

Oh I know! Try to enjoy being outside as much as you can before it gets way too hot! I'll do the same. 🙂

The itchy nose issue 😋 bike sounds really nice, shifting of gas in the tank perhaps over the fuel sensor giving incorrect readings. So gopro over insta360 for you ?
@JoyonaBike4 жыл бұрын
Good point about the gas readings. I haven't researched much on Insta360 so GoPro for now. 🙂
@crabjoe4 жыл бұрын
I dont think it was the gas. I think it was your ignition. Others have had the exact same issue as you and it ended up being the key assembly.

Joy, many riders consider this fuel gauge as completely inaccurate but, IMHO, it's not exactly right...the fuel gauge is working in an odd way but I think it is doing its job...all you have to remember is that the correct indication (how many bars really remain) is given ONLY after you rode 100 to 400m, EACH TIME you start and use the bike...NEVER rely on what is displayed just after turning the key on. If you respect this, you'll find that the fuel indication is always consistent. Anyway, somewhere between 200 and 250kms you should worry about finding a fuel station. In my case (I own a Conti GT 650), after 220 kms, it remains roughly 3 liters in the tank and the very last bar started blinking when the trip meter indicates 190 to 200kms...so when it happens, I still have a 30 to 50 kms max reserve. Try to see if your fuel gauge works the same way. It should... Learn how it acts exactly by recording the fuel quantity used and mileage. Sorry for using kilometers instead of miles...I'm living in France. By the way, I ran out of gas too before understanding how the gauge works. Ride safe, take care.

Nice video! Your audio is great! I just bought a new helmet to improve my audio quality. The audio with my current helmet is pretty horrendous. Not sure if I still want to release the videos I've taken with it. What do you think? 🤔🤔🙂

At first, the fuel indicator on my GT650 dances like a ballerina, I learned when I get the second stripe I better go for some fuel. Two times my GT650 suddenly stopped on going (3rd and 4th gears), I had to put out the key and start the engine again. The RE official service said that all was right on the mapping of the system administrator. Same problem on yours? Cheers!
@avid_biker4 жыл бұрын
Haha. Someone should have told you that fuel guages on REs are for asthetic purposes only! Lmao. The new 650 twins are also known to have unreliable fuel meters. But once you get used to the ride its not so much of an issue, you know how much mileage you get.
