you need to send out probes to find more stuff in space. you click launch probe and then move the mouse around to scan for potential targets

Unfortunately right now, there is no way to reduce or remove the hull degradation penalties, and they only get worse as you get further in the game. It gets really hard to keep up, eventually it'll be basically all your Alloy production goes to repairs... EDIT: Dunno if you've already figured this out, but to use the probes, you have to actually click "Launch Probe". It'll then pull out a reticule you can use to search for goodies.

Thats just so dumb. It’s already difficult enough as it is. To keep up with everything else and then not really ever fixing that is just stupid. Especially considering we saw in the prologue that the hull doesn’t constantly take damage. It should only do it if you’re actively taking damage from stuff while moving. Or certain events, not a constant draw that gets worse and worse it just makes no sense

@@TheJerseyNinja Once you get recycling, you can become self-sufficient at T3 unlock since there are some building upgrades that play well together. You make waste and then turn the waste into alloy without any outside resources needed besides time and energy which if you build a section for it can easily make you keep up with the demand. It does take some tinkering to make sure you get the balance just right so you don't overflow with waste or come up short because you miss a couple 100 crew in a section.

21:05 I think the "Sector 1" sign is blocking building. If so, that would have been the best place for your housing. As for the probe, you need to send a probe out and scan the areas. Also, you can only use a probe one time so you will always need to build another.

Yep, that one blocks the buildings that connect to the wall. It is there in all sections and it shows when the station is moving. Don't know if it shows when there are storms and such around the station on the notice board

The story leaves quite a lot of questions. How did the Earth completely gets destroyed into a lifeless, barren world soo quickly? No bodies on the planet, the oceans are gone, its almost like we traveled to the distant future.

It seem the first jump travel them through time not space. The AI state this anomaly in the mission clock.

17:40 Don't know if you've noticed already but you have 2 sets of solar panels. You haven't build set 2 yet (costs are the same for each level). The panels get build in a triangular formation (first small panels on the sides of 3 pillars and then on 3 pillars, you have 6 pillars total so 2 sets of solar panel installation)

Was gonna mention the Launch Probe button but others seem to have that covered. You won't be leaving this area of the system for a long time still.

As for resources, look in the Asteroid Belt (AB) which is located between Earth and Mars. That's the ring of stuff a little out from Earth. Alternatively, you can look into the Oort Cloud (OC), which is out at the edge of the solar system. I'd suggest the AB first, as it's closer. The OC is further out, but is more likely to contain unknown hazards.

He almost NEEDS to just to make a whole sector just for insect farms..seeing as each farm produces 5 food each eating cycle, and already needs 20 for current food requirements, let alone the additional 500 people he'll have once he gets the cryopods. Needs 2 farms for every 100 people, so 14 farms to keep everyone fed once he does.

You can upgrade your insect farms and other stuff if you research the upgrade first to make your station better

That engine must be really unbelievable, with the info I know about it that it was made to warp at like Ludicrous Speed, but instead and if I'm correct it time travelled the whole Space Station.

in this game you need to be more cautious and observative make sure to read on stuff don't overlook them which is most critical part. -on probe section there's a big button that says "Launch probe" thats where you find planets and other things -hull degradation cant be fixed in fact every jump the hull degradation goes up -don't leave until you explored most of the solar system (you should have stayed and explored on the first part since there's no hull degradation so you could have prepared more -always keep an eye out on reputation and hull integrity (i will get worse around 60%) -rarely use 3x speed having it mostly turned on have big effect it will drain resource fast and you cant keep an eye out for everything in the game

Probe probe probe! There is so much in the solar system. Think about how many planets we have in this system. The confusing thing is that you press launch probe on the right and THEN you select it’s destination. Mess around with it. Also, you’re going to really need to maximize your space inside the ship. Both sections you’ve opened will be almost completely full by the time you leave the solar system.

Love the video's. but i do have to say that this was the most frustrating one lol. I started screaming at my t.v. when the words "launch probe" was shone. I like to see the prespective of others playing games but this vid got me good lol. I imediatly turned into a backseat driver. One good lesson ive decided to teach children is to be patient, take a deep breath and pay attention to details. Don't take this the wrong way. This video just stirred my emotions which means your doing good.

Love the video, can't wait to see more of this game, but.... after you opened the new sector and were trying to figure things out, you kept scrolling very quickly back and forth between the two and it was quite headache inducing. Would definitely appreciate a little more consciousness of that in future videos. It isn't so bad just swapping from one to the other, but the quick back and forths, especially when it was an immediate change in direction, were absolutely killing me lol
