I Love the sound that Alpacas make. Spring on the Farm was always the best with Foals and Calves hitting the ground. Loved our babies. I think Alpaca babies are going to be adorable

Love the doggies! They are such attention babies... Thanks for taking us along for your chores. Have a great day.
I know everyone loves to arm chair quarterback, but I use two hot wires one just above the grass so it doesn’t ground on grass, on about 12”. U can put some flagging tape so deer can see it.

Aaww, that cuddle-up with the big dogs at the end was so good. I always enjoy views of your Bear, Bella & Jemma. We didn't get to grow up with big dogs. With double the number of the Arms kids, we lived in a small house on a tiny yard. Our parents allowed only one little dog at a time...a red male dauschaund, followed by a red female doxie, and a black female toy poodle (by the time the oldest 3 left for college). So, soon after getting married and moved into my first home (had a big yard), I got a germ shep girl. And, it's been BIG dogs for me, since.

A short fence with no electricity worked on my buddies farm.....for some reason the electric fence scares some deer.......he just banked on the fact the pigs wouldn’t jump em.....two years in they are working great.....same height as yours but really heavy reinforced wire.

I'm sure the deer will get it figured out and hopefully the Dang hogs don't tear it up. I'm so tired of hogs tearing our pasture up. (makes for a bumpy ride on the tractor)! However each time I watch y'all's videos and see Bella, I cry, I miss my little girl, Sasha. She's been gone for a month and I need another baby girl. Hopefully we can find another chocolate lab. We've had them for years. Anyway, I digress, we've shot so many hogs, just gets frustrating. Hopefully the fence will work for you and we can try it too! Thx! Good luck!

I saw that lil buck. I thought it was wierd the Cardinal landed on it. Surely birds are sensitive to shock. But didn't appear he was. Thanks for the share, I want to see what the pigs do. Hopefully, they'll hit it in the next week. Probably filling up on acorns. Have a good week, and be safe on the roads working!
@bryanpetersen65905 жыл бұрын
@Carole A bird wont get shocked by the fence if it is sitting on top. The fence only works when the animal touches the fence and is in contact with the ground. Since it wasn't touching the ground the circuit did not get completed.

You could try spreading some of the corn closer to the fence on the inside. Maybe the deer would reach over the fence, start eating & then decide to jump in for more.

Hey, aren't you training the deer to jump into your garden by using the Premier One fence at the deer feeder?? As an alternative, how about using just a single wire, electric charged, only about 12" above the ground....no Premier fence? Happy holidays to you'all and good hunting.

Well that was a little somewhat anticlimactic! I thought we would see hogs! As I said in the last vid, I’m clueless (but interested!), & wondered if the deer would be spooked by the fence if they got zapped going over-It seems (well at least) some of the deer have figured it out-lets hope more deer get the gist! Love ur vids! Thanks for keeping us updated!!!
