I believe that the Beyonce and Jay-Z marriage has very little to do with love. Besides the late Aaliyah, Jay-Z was actually in love with Blu Cantrell but got together with Beyonce so they would become a power couple. You know, with people who have established themselves but still feel this whole "I used to be that girl and I wanna remind people I'm still this" thing, I think they don't recognize that their fans still see them that way, but it's so set in and they've been evolving and doing so many things for so many years (or in Britney's case, trauma) that they themselves forget and just think they're not that girl anymore. It's not that they're not, it's just the change of environment and being used to it. I had a similar feeling happen to me, on a lesser degree, when I had an online business going. For years people in my online community would hype me and I became very well known within this community for this thing, but after a few years of getting settled into it, and establishing myself as "that B", after a while it made me feel like I wasn't "that B" even though nothing but age and experience changed. Idk why that happens but it does. I can totally relate to Beyonce's boredom even if it's to a smaller portion. There might be a lot of new young it girls who come to the scene but you only get a Beyonce once in a lifetime. Edit: This is completely weird, but it reminds me of a scene in the movie "Kamasutra a tale of love" - The king had a new courtesan, who was the queen's old friend/servant girl, she was crying as she watched the now courtesan from afar. The king's mother lifted her chin and said, "There are dozens like her, but you are queen." It's a bittersweet and a self-sabotaging mindset, but it happens.
