It's taken me some time, but let's dig into this. Waackxxxy & Yoon Ji were phenomenal, let's just say it like it is. I remember Waackxxxy was at Fusion in 2017 and she had a partner who i felt really let her down, and even then she made it to the semi final Vs Diablo and Style C. I think you really touched upon something amazing about these girls, they had stage presence, they really took over that stage everytime they were on there... Like i loved Akamz and Jr Sniper, but when they came against these ladies, not just in terms of dance, but in terms of charisma, they couldn't compete. Props to the ladies having matching outfits as well, visually it did make a difference. I was there with 2 friends of mine and we all were saying how they were magnetic, there wasn't a dull moment when they were on stage. I also feel that wacking isn't a style which you expect to fit so well into a battle space, but they really made feel incredibly kinetic and momentum based. In a really strange way, it gave me a similar feeling to when you see Krump at these kind of events, because it's so dynamic in terms of moving your core, using your arms and hitting poses for half a second... It doesn't feel like a showcase, it feels like a BATTLE, which is something i think makes a big difference at these events, your dance has to feel like its bringing the heat to your opponent, not just to the crowd. Les Twins time management during the whole event was just unfair it was so good... Because of how the rules were set out with time being given for connections, Les Twins just kept chipping away at peoples time (i was well positioned so i could check the screen very often, and i swear to you, even outside of their commandos, these guys had so many 2 seconds connections which took a 5 seconds here, and a 5 seconds there, it really adds up to A LOT of time). The event was very well suited to their strengths, even more so than previous years. in terms of round... First round was tough because i really liked Waackxxxy's energy and i think she did a very good round, but like you said, it was very individual freestyle based, which made it hit less hard at this specific event. Les Twins are also incredibly good at bringing that trashtalk vibe when they battle you, like the first few seconds when Laurent starts dancing and takes on a feminine vibe and does slightly wacking like arm movements (even Larry when he went up to Waackxxxy and "stole her essence" and followed Laurent with the Diva walk)... Moments like that really hit hard in a battle, the same way i admire Eyez when he goes Style Ripper on you and takes elements of your style and uses it against you, because its an amazing display of skill and creativity to integrate a style of movement which isn't yours and integrate it into your style (this is also something that Laurent is really good at because he does have that feminine persona in his dance). Second round is where i have to give props to Yoon Ji... In my opinion, that moment where she went full Orchestra Conductor on the audience was the moment i most lost my mind, it was just too much, probably my favorite moment. When you take into account the malfunctions like you said, using the stick as a wand, licking it, doing isolations with it... Her round was incredibly strong. Larry however really did come correct with his round. He had 1 very good technique and isolations with those chest pops to the beat (he does overuse beatkilling, but having moments in his rounds is never a bad thing and creates a lot of energy in the room) 2 he briefly spazzed out when he ran across the stage while squatted down and jumping up at the end (i love when he sets aside his moments of technique and just creates energy in the room, low key gives me Krump energy) 3 The commando at the end hit really hard and suited that part of the music so incredibly well. By this point i honestly would have understood a tie, although i feel the first round went to Laurent while the second round felt like a tie to me, so i'd have given it to Les Twins... However Laurent using the last 30-40 seconds was icing on the cake, it wasn't his best dancing, but it was a good round, and it did sort of feel like it buried the girls. And i suppose strategically speaking, you have to give them props for playing the clock so well, many other teams didn't do that... So even beyond the dancing, the fact that they ate away at the girls time is very impressive. Overall though, Les Twins deserved to win the event, but the girls were my MVP's... They were amazing and i better see them at more events together. Those are my thoughts for now. Thanks for the brilliance and the quality content, King. Take care of yourself :)

The only point I disagree on is that waaacking isnt for the battle space. Those two are actually the proof its a strong style just like others in the battle scene. Wackxxy is highly technical while yoonji has much more charisma and energy.

I def would've gave it to the twins on this one but the girls were putting out some heat too. I don't think they played off eachother as much in this battle as their previous ones which I think could've gave their performance more juice. Larry & Lau are the best duo dancers in the game and their ability to play off eachother in real time is second to none. When Larry came out strong with his solo in the beginning and then lau jumped in to improvise in certain moments that was just the head shot.

yoonji is something else man. she is phenomenal even when she was still yhoung and i cant believe she blossomed into such a wonderful dancer. if u wanna see her earliest recording, she was in a dancing show called dancing 9 her audition blew me away tbh and solidified what her future would be. i respect both of them and knew the twins would win. how can u beat a couple that have practiced duo and experienced as the twins but the fact that they got to be as equal as them is incredible. wacky and yoonji have never been duo but their chemistry and their energy oif no hesitation is what makes me a fan. they always gave 100 percent in every choreo if it fails or not

It was the best battle of the night. The girls got us crowd going crazy. The creativity, dance and props were amazing ! The twins time strategy was better though because they left enough time to develop their 2nd round. And boy did they kill that 2nd round.

I also agree how the twins managed their time (on purpose or not) cuz if Larry had the same amount of time as Yoonji on the 2nd round, there is a high possibility that the waackers would have won. This is the Big strenght of Les Twins. Larry and Laurent have a big experience of stage: how to take every space and impose themselves. So no matter what people think about this competition. Honestly, I think it was just the songs. That new trap/bass beat doesn’t mesh well with whacking imo, but the ladies worked well with what they got. If they had played an electro-funk beat, the girls could’ve won for sure. I know the Twins can pretty much dance to anything, but their style seems to be more suited to the type of music that was played.

To echo a comment from another video I feel if they didn't use the props they likely would've won. The rounds and routines felt a lot more organic without it. Something about the natural groove they had in the prior matchups was just so powerful. Now that being said. I would've liked to have seen one more round. Consider it a tie.

U notice that the Twins weren't really serious about this battle & were having fun and mostly being playful....so other people have just been saying that it was more like an Exhibition than a true battle ? I mean the Twins have face off with teams of females before and they were more serious and put in way more effort....so what was this truly about ? The details are there though. Something i noticed though about both The Twins and Waackxxxy & Yoon Ji is that neither team is really concerned about how the other team is dancing and thats because both teams are very different from the other in their styles,so it's just about having fun and nothing serious.If anything though The Twins were making fun of the ladies styles by acting a little fem when doing their 1st routine.Anyways I got a kick out of it...whatever it was....but then again thats what Les Twins do. The props where fabulous, but the dance is what count! They did 4 dance move in 10 different ways, it look great and capture the audience attention but what dance move did they really have. This is why the twins don't do flip or use props because it take away the beauty of your dance.

Probably a bit late for my comment, but I JUST got into it by accident yesterday. The first battle - definitely a tie (though both were not at their best compared to battles in other rounds). Second battle - don't know if Larry actually managed his time, as some claim; I think it was more that Yoon Ji ended it a bit early because of the prop malfunction. I think she could have done a LOT more with the prop which would have ended with another tie. As it is, Larry won the battle. Don't know why some people say the Whackers did not have footwork. They actually did have awesome footwork, but it was just different than the style of the Twins. Les Twins did not actually do their best in this round (compare with their round against Junior/Tahiti Bob; if Les Twins round 4 went up against Waackxxy/Yoonji round 1, Waackxxy/Yoonji would have won). I think the crowd booed at the decision not because they thought Waackxxy/Yoonji should have won, but because it should have been a tie.

Doc, I hope you won't consider my statement a waste of you time....BUT! I was not that impressed by the girls. I think their routine was too gimmicky and cartoonist.
