Madara's death was clearly to introduce a whole new species by the ending few chapters of the series so that they could use that juvenile idea and use that as foundation for a spinoff/sequel that would only allow the cash to continue rolling in. The death itself doesn't feel appealing apart from maybe having a "shock factor" which doesn't add any value to it. The aspects of the power scale at that period also feel rather wonky. Kishimoto does also use pre-existing aspects of the story to create this plot twist (no shit he would have to use all he got, which was already very less atp), though that isn't "foreshadowing" and a better thing to call it would be an okay-ish execution to make the process of adding Kaguya into the story a bit more smoother. The whole resemblance with the Kaguya clan and their Jutsu and the parallel with him getting backshotted by Hashirama. Though it also just felt stupid for many reasons, the very way he died by getting Sasuke'd was absurd. That attack was so predictable, the weak ass blob is able to keep Madara at the same position for the whole awakening, the "chakra bloating" by the chakra from the people trapped in the genjutsu even though that amount should barely affect Madara, not to mention if we take him as a "chakra container", then his capacity should have very much increased when he cast the planetary Genjutsu and spread the roots of the God Tree across the WHOLE planet in a matter of few seconds. Overall, it's not "hateable". It was certainly stupid and a way for Jump to milk the franchise. But Kishimoto did an okay job with what he had and wrapped it up quickly to follow it up with a great conclusion to the series in the last volume.

I know people don't like that kaguya was the ending villain and say she wasn't foreshadowing in the story😂

@@ChangerofWays-Tzeentch forcing the world into an infinite dream while also killing most of said world to achieve that is already a defeated philosophy though. It was always threading the lines of delusion over reality and madara's philosophical narcissism. so naruto and sasuke defeating him would've showed that he wasn't strong enough to overcome the will of everyone and their hope in reality. but if you wanted to specifically prove the stone tablet was false and mentally break madara that way then kaguya was required

Imagine zetsu actually been kaguya and not some slob talking within her sleeves. Like, if he was kaguya's will, wouldn't it make sense for him to just merge with her and speak as though he's her and she is him🤷 . It wouldn't make her seem like such a foreign entity and it would explain why zetsu knew so much when narrating the fight between itachi and Sasuke. And it'll definitely make him out to be the strongest Akatsuki member because he is kaguya. It really looks like a missed opportunity because kaguya literally produced him from her, like some super unique and durable shadow clone...and just like we wouldn't think Naruto's clone is a unique entity from him with its own will, we shouldn't make zetsu be like some knock of version of Jesus, who despite having the ability to exert his own will, only exert the will of his father. They even made him sit at the right side of his mother like Jesus sitting at the right side of God
@genovayork246810 ай бұрын
Kaguya would have retained Zetsu's intelligence, so (s)he couldn't be defeated.
@UNKNOWNL3G3ND7 ай бұрын
well, you pretty much described zetsu. in the end he is nothing but a fragment of kaguya separated from her and holds loyalty to the original body. i would also say that it is the best way of interpretation for who black zetsu is, though they dont portray that very well. though lets be real, zetsu as a villain is poo poo
@fluffystich250311 ай бұрын
amazing analysis, I always viewed black Zetsu as a bit of a call back, but i do see the poetry of Madara being stabbed in the back. I think this can been seen as Madara never learning from his past, and maybe the result of an inflated ego. After Madara, Sasuke completes the break of the cycle of hatred, which I also think is pretty interesting

Madara alternative, ideal death while still faithful to his character arc; He activates Infinite Tsukuyomi but the jutsu continuously sucking chakra and Madara can't control it well. In his inner psyche, Kaguya hijacks his consciousness and stab him just like in that one ending. Madara bloats up and paralyze and Zetsu covers him and Kaguya is incarnated.

Nah it doesn't. you are missing the basics of literature. the narrative must make sense before you back it up with thematics. but even the thematics are so shallow and nonsensical

Nah Madara lost to a much weaker Sasuke and Naruto that had managed to bisected him without really trying. Jigen defeated Naruto and Sasuke at their peaks in their ninja careers.
