9:45 interesting, a store near us secretly sells mcdonalds mcnuggets, and as someone who currently has a large bag in the freezer, if you deep fry them when stuck together, the inside becomes like a raw spongy “paste” like texture, and it tastes terrible

@@BahavianBrave they are a discount foods store, so when mcdonalds has a shipment that is busted or the box is dented, the food store buys it all up and digs through the bags to see which ones are damaged or not. of the perfectly sealed bags, you get like 250 nuggets for 10$ i believe. if you’re still hanging around, ill reply with my disc and send you a picture if we have any still lol

I worked at McDonald's in the early 90's, and I can say that the freezer storage is accurate. The product had to be stored, as the video says, 2 inches away from the wall, and elevated by a skid or pallet, to ensure that the air could circulate around it. This ensured that the product stayed evenly frozen.

I work at McDonalds and let me tell you they do things a lot different from when this training video was made. First off, all the tech on the fryers are updated to have touch screens. Also you can select between filet, McCrispy, McChicken, and McNuggets. The fry baskets also have walls in them so that they dont float. Finally after theyre cooked they go into a brown plastic tray with a metal cage and they get put in cooked food storage where they are kept hot and ready. Eventually the timer will go off after they're placed in and nuggets/mcchicken/filet/crispy have to be dropped again and the process starts all over again Oh yeah and we always drop 24 nuggets at once unless it's well done nuggets then we just take some from the tray and then drop them on the timer

Hey chad! I used to work at a mcdons as a frycook! The nugs had to be separated to make sure they were fully cooked. Nuggests that are stuck together have a chance of still being frozen where they're connected

At Burger King I worked at, with the broiler, it was worryingly common for two beef patties to end up going through together and not cook properly. The whole batch needed to be tossed out and every pan replaced Immediately, it could really mess with getting product out quickly but obviously better than giving a customer food poisoning.

Storing stuff in commercial freezers is very important and has rules. I worked at Ikea’s kitchen for a month and the rules of storing freezer food is important. If the food is in a different place, it will make the worker’s job harder and take more time than it would have if they’re on the right spot. Pastries had their own spot with the bread and the meats had their own. Everything had their place and it was the unpackers’ duty to put them on the right places. Just a lil fun fact and affirmation that it is actually that important

Other than that, this is way more complicated than how it's done today. It literally is just dump the whole bag in, make sure none are sticking together, then slap the button and wait.

As someone who’s town actually gets legitimate frozen Chicken McNuggets shipped to our grocery store, (known as Cuddy chicken nuggets, I’m assuming that’s their supplier), yes. They do stick together. And it is HIGHLY irritating when they do lol.
