It’s okay to have an all motor muscle car and a scatpack is capable of that I’ve seen people running 550 to the wheels with stock internals and zero aftermarket supporting mods. Without blowing their engine up. It’s usually the dummies that try to boost them or they try to push 700 wheel without putting anything in there to support it Same thing goes for the 6.1 man. Wrong! So wrong. Chrysler bought Lamborghini back in the late 80's. That purchase served as the apparatus for the launch of a certain unrefined and very analog hotrod muscle car named the Viper. The prowler followed that theme and came later, only it was more of a gimmick hotrod that paid homage to yester year, that was more gawk factor than anything else. Dodge viper starting back in the early 90's laid the ground work for the certain division you're referencing. When Chrysler asked Lamborghini to build the viper a better engine, a new company, in its infancy, started to emerge. Hence, the first ever srt performance car.

I’m surprised you even mentioned the E55 M113K engine, amazing to see it being appreciated. Just sad to see that the horsepower wars kinda ruined everything, because back in the early 2000s 350 hp used to be seen as decently good and high, but now today if you have 300 hp you’re seen as slow and having a weak car. It really numbs how powerful 300 hp is. And yes the people who own mopars are the ones who kinda screwed everything up, they’re the wannabes to be fair. Horsepower isn’t everything but damn do they make it seem like it is.

You started the video dissing the SSR & Prowler based on appearance and being under powered. But you end the video implying the muscle wars inadvertently ruined car culture with insane HP, thus making performance irrelevant. @christopherwilliams94188 ай бұрын
Agreed for the most part but I'd like to add that A) I personally like the SSR :P B) Mopar didn't do it alone, we can also blame stagnant wages (young people can't afford even entry level sports cars anymore) and the proliferation of pickup trucks and SUVs taking over the market segment sedans used to populate (automakers have to build cars as crash compatible to vehicles that weigh 1.5x-2x as much as previous averages and with bumpers several times higher which is also why visibility on modern cars sucks, but therefore small fun cars lose out)
@camerons60288 ай бұрын
I would add that the American horse power wars of the 2000s were a direct result of the Japanese horse power wars of the 1990s. Talking the big boys from Japan: Skyline, Supra, Evo, Rx7, WRX/STI. I think America and Europe were late to the party in the 1990s but finished strong in the 2000s. Even Mercedes and Audi show up with high horse power in the 2000s. Redlines and AMGs.
