Just finished playing it on PC in 7.1 and maximum dynamic range. One of the best sounding games I've ever played. The gunshots and bullet impact sounds around me scared the crap out of me many times. It's games like these that make me want to become a sound designer and mixer one day. Even with cheap speakers it sounds incredible, so I can't even imagine how it would sound like on a high quality studio setup. Hope I get to experience it one day.

I think NPC will beg for mercy if you havent kill them right away in remaster version as well. And they will attack you again if you leave them there?

Yea, I tested that, they attack you again. :)

They are also completely different games so to speak, so would make sense.

I don't like the remaster much, I think the emphasis on showing every upgrade on weapons is overburdening the game with unecessary details. I don't like the new facial expression either, with the amount of details they got, expression become exaggerated : They always have those beaten puppy's eyes expression , Joel doesn't seem to be physically able to close his mouth and I find it actually less realistic than the blanders one in PS3/4 which was much sobber. BUt the Thing I hate the most is the little queu sound when you progress and I don't think you adressed that (or I just missed it ?) there was a little "Ding" in the original whenever you saw something important for your progression in the distance, the new sound is much softer and doesn't emphasis the same sense of progress or importance. Despite it's hight technical prowess, I find the older version more immersive.

Naa I didn't mention the progression Sound, or at least the "there is something important around the corner or ahead that you need to see" sound
