He is a singer. I didn't know a thing about Ren until one month ago when a Hi Ren reaction video crossed my feed. He is a singer, he plays piano beautifully,, he makes his own beats, he uses multiple meanings and references when he raps. Amazing!

Not a singer singer... yikes, now you've done it. He played with a busking band (street performing) called The Big Push. They have some amazing videos and different genres to check out. (Anything with red suspenders has the best audio) my favourites are I Shot the Sheriff and War Pigs. Or he has a version of Englishman In New York or Bongo Bong, or Swan Song which is harmonies or Praise you, or a solo mashup called Fred Again, he even has a cover of Can't Help Falling in Love (Elvis version) which is amazing or... wow, there are so many.

Ren writes and performs in EVERY genre and is unbelievably brilliant at EVERY genre. He doesn't miss! :) Ren does it all! Incredible vocals, capable of multiple different voices, styles and tones? Check! Raps like a rap god, scats and beatboxes brilliantly? Check! Plays about a dozen different musical instruments well, half of them RIDICULOUSLY well, all self-taught? Check! Top-notch audio/recording engineer? Check! Incredibly talented producer who lays down his own music/beats/audio? Check! Award-winning video director and editor? Check! Many of those videos, including this one, recorded live, in a single take? Check! Ridiculous performance skills and a palpable charisma and stage presence? Check! World-class songwriting skills, especially his lyricism? Check! A real-life poet and a bloody great poet at that? Check! A genuinely nice, down-to-earth guy and a fine human being? Check! Does it all while in constant, 24hr pain and while dealing with horrendous chronic health problems? Check! The first fully independent artist, in history, to achieve a number 1 UK album? Check! :) Ren's a unique artist. A musical genius! A once in a generation talent! Every label under the Sun has tried to sign Ren. He's turned them all down! Ren is a singer singer. My favourite video to show of his voice is Wade In The Water/Troubles So Hard/Nina Simone by his band The Big Push. He also does a mean guitar solo on a bass guitar in that.

Before Ren went solo and started blowing up he played in a busking band in Brighton called The Big Push and this is one of their viral hits: The Big Push - "I Shot The Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" (In this video Ren sings an incredible mash-up of Bob Marley, Damian Marley and ends with an brilliant old school rap by Dead Prez and it's all live on the streets of Brighton). Enjoy the Ren rabbit hole brother. Would recommend so many of his songs to check out but i am sure you will make your way to all of them at some point lol. if you liked the oldschool type jam sessions, i think id suggest watching Sweet Little Lady. one of his less suggested gems that i think deserves more attention. since you also seem to like the harmony part of this one, Chalk Outlines with Ren and Chinchilla is amazing too.

Would recommend sampling a little of everything, including Fred Again mash up, his busking sessions with The Big Push (I Shot the Sheriff and War Pigs - version where Ren is wearing red suspenders for best sound quality), all 3 songs in the Money game series (part 1, 2 - lyric video, and 3), Power (fun track), Bittersweet symphony (both versions), and Chalk Outlines (collab with Chinchilla). This was another brilliant ReNtake. Just Ren doing Ren things. Crazy runs and harmonies, filthy bars to remind us that he is also still a cheeky boi, and that voice that’s perfect for Sting/The Police songs. Kais, some things he can put it on KZbin because it covers other artist’s work but not release as a release on the music streaming services. I think the legal people call it fair use. There are many as such which you won’t find on Spotify and the likes by Ren.

It's not fair use. KZbin have a covers license which let's anyone cover any song on here without explicit permission. The original artist therefore can't block it but I think they can claim all of the royalties, at least a good chunk of them.

You should check out rens song Humble featuring Eden Nash it’s one of my favourites wich is a hard thing to say as Ren never misses and covers so many styles he plays guitar , piano , writes and produces beats and man he realy can sing you should check out his busking stuff to hear his vocal talent with no hidding behind technology like so many other so called singers do this day .
