So glad an American KZbinr is talking about MotoGP. Thank you!

Sorry fella, but you are wrong. MM93 refused to accept the challenge because he felt that being on the basic 2023 gave Martin an unfair advantage. Also, MM93 would have accepted a full factory bike with full support at Gresini (he made it quite clear from the start of his Ducati career that he would not move from one satellite team to another). The delay by Pramac to sign the Ducati extension complicated things, especially given all the talk of a possible Yamaha switch, and this delay made it difficult to come up with a decision before the Martin-imposed deadline. The media seem obsessed with the idea that MM93 played a game of chess and cunningly manipulated this outcome. I believe that Marc's perfomances proved that he is on a very steep and rapid learning curve with a very high potential level. His race craft is exceptional. His marketing value is second to none by a long way. It was rumoured months ago that Digi wanted Marc. Very hard luck on Martin, who I really like and does not get enough credit, imo, as a person and a rider. Best of luck to him, maybe he and Aprilia can halt the Ducati domination. Many, quite rightly, are excited with what 2025 will bring, but let's not forget, we have a very exciting 2024 to look foward to (13 races to go!).

Seems right based on what we actually know for sure.. plus it is clear that Ducati have never really liked Martin

I haven't really commented on the Pramac thing because no one knows what they'll decide. It's definitely a factor for the riders. They have to settle the bike before they can sign riders. No one wants to sign up for a Ducati and get a Yamaha. It'll be interesting to see if Ducati gives factory bikes VR46 or Gresini or just keeps the factory bikes for themselves like most manufacturers. It's hard for me to understand how Pramac would give up a factory Ducati, but Yamaha must be offering big money for them to consider it.

Thanks for that nuanced and reasonable perspective. In real life it’s very difficult for all the pieces to line up correctly so one has to make a decision with the best possible outcome in mind. Looking forward to 2024 being a cracker and hopefully Aprilla and KTK finding something special to ensure a close 2025.

Thanks. I edited this one on my computer speakers so I didn't catch that. I switched the Mono sound file to a Dual soundtrack.

I REALLY hope Joe Roberts gets that seat at Trackhouse. He deserves it!! He’s riding the best he has ever ridden. I’m in Canada and I would LOVE to st least have a North American on the grid if he deserves it. Which he does!

martin's addition to aprilia brings balance to the championship where all good riders where in Ducatis except Pedro.

Easy answer. Marc will sell 10x more red bikes than Jorge.

Everybody talks about marketing. Gigi doesn't care one bit about marketing. And when he joined, he asked for full control of the race team. This is a pure performance decision. He's seen Marc's data. Spoken to the Ducati personnel in Gresini and Pirelli personnel in Gresini. And determined he didn't wanna lose the guy. Martin made absolutely no sense in the official team. I know the argument "Martin has done everything to deserve....". No he hasn't. He didn't win the championship last year. When push came to shove, he cracked under pressure.

Most of the assessments were right. But was dismissive about Diggia and Agusto. Diggia is the best ducati rider behind the top 4, with GP23 he is only behind Marc, so he should be in motogp and with the same team, he is more deserving than Bez right now. Agusto had his chance, he is wiped clean by Acosta, no more chances considering the current circumstances.
@ExpatonTwoWheels7 ай бұрын
fair enough, this year Diggia has the most points behind Marc on the GP23. However, Bez had a string of podiums and really impressed his first year while Diggia almost lost a ride completely. He's probably an underrated rider.
