That woman is nuts. Who would pay for life advice from someone who cries when her boyfriend doesn't text for two hours? She is unstable and I think it's supposed to come off as cute.

It truly saddens me that she's 38 years of age and CRYING about her new bf not texting her for 2 hours. SMH and *facepalm*. Does she not realize that there are people in this world who are LEGITIMATELY busy? Even if that were not the case with this new bf of hers, a 15-year-old girl handles a situation like that with far more maturity than she does here!

All the edited content I’ve seen from her since the breakup with Dave comes off as manic to me. (Speaking as someone with experience 😅). I feel like she’s lost, bc the selling point was always that she knew the way to the light, right? What’s her message now, what’s she selling? Who’s the target audience, and what are they gaining from this ...? White, conservative, MLM Karen’s?? I have no idea anymore and I don’t know if she does either. Falling back on “I’m Rachel Hollis the ultimate girl boss and virtual gal pal” has fallen apart bc of all the scandals- aka showing her true colors. This new “rebuild with me” rhetoric doesn’t really hold up either bc emotionally intelligent ppl can tell she’s not actually doing as well as she says.... she’s scrambling and throwing darts at the board, it’s cringy to watch but I can’t say it doesn’t feel a lil bit vindicating 😬🥴 #eattherichsorrynotsorry

I scanned comments looking for one like this.....all this time, and in other videos I've seen on the whole "Hollis Hustle" schtick, she seems to me to be someone that has never "grown authentically" herself....she has no REAL idea of what the word means. It would seem with these outfits and her "catch pbrases" and talking about farts and whatnot, that she THINKS that's being "authentic", and sadly, impressionable people looking for guidance fell for it also and gave her that feedback that she herself needed.....they validated her "Inauthentic Authenticity", and now neither she nor her followers know what REAL authenticity means. I come away from these videos with a mix of anger, frustration, and real SADNESS. But if these looks into this whole "Hollis Hustle" culture helps just 1 person break free from this super shallow definition of authenticity, then I'm here to support that 100%.

There were some parts that were hard to watch…. I feel like I’m watching her devolve before my eyes. She’s oversharing even more, in all the wrong places…. Her style of dress is akin to a 30 year old at a high school party…. She’s taking on the identity of her new boyfriend…. She’s floundering and the cracks are showing more and more. She needs a break to process her divorce, do some soul searching and therapy, and evaluate the crossroads she’s probably at right now instead of running in circles trying to “hustle” away from it. With the drinking thing, I kind of feel like she wants to have her cake and eat it too. She wants to be able to say she was so strong and disciplined for not thinking it was hard to give up alcohol, but she also wants the relatable points from talking about how much she wants a cocktail. I drink occasionally, and that’s exactly what I say. I think saying you dont drink definitely implies YOU DONT DRINK AT ALL because of whatever reason a person might have. To be fair the history of MLMs is literally based on rich men exploiting women's rights issues. Even today the vast percentage of CEOs and founders in the industry are men and the ones who aren't are women just like her. The business is still mostly exploiting women. Of course women like her could never take accountability for their role in such a system. And I honestly doubt she would have made it if it wasn't her rich husband finding her business during it's highs and lows. Couple of things. 1: I know this is a petty thing but, her in person VIP perks say front row seating, then in brackets it says first few rows….if your in the second row the. By definition your not in ‘the front row’. Could have easily said ‘premium seating’ 2: the part about how she didn’t make any money from the Rise conference kinda pissed me off. Am I meant to feel sorry for her??? Get over your privileged ass Rachel. 3: The Virtual (and in person) prices are a rip off considering the dribble that seemed to be offered, especially since two of the talks were on her pod cast for free. Also the repeated content would piss me off, like she also couldn’t be ass to write (or plagiarise) anything different. 4: not surprised she blames the Men in her life, she can never take accountability. It’s always her team or her parents or her ex. But what do you expect from a narcissist. 5: I agree with you, if I paid more than a few grand to see someone speak in person and they walked out on stage, dressed like she did it would rub me the wrong way. Like she couldn’t be bothered to make an effort. Was this an effort to be ‘relatable’ to the women that were there in person? 6: the hypocrisy of the alcohol comment is pathetic. She could have said, I cut back on the alcohol. Considering in the video that I saw of this ‘doctor’ that ‘interpreted her brain scan’ said to stop drinking and her response was along the lines of ‘oh can’t I have a few a week’ . So I highly doubt she went cold turkey. But she just has to be superior. Lastly the manifest crap is total BS, I can manifest and say affirmations about being able to fly every day until I truely believe I will be able to fly. Still means I am going to plummet to my death when I jump off a building. Sorry for the long ass comment 😂 I commend you for torturing yourself with the toxic positivity for us.

Manifesting is essentially just about working towards your goals and affirming that you can accomplish them though, I think your idea of it is a bit misconstrued. I am absolutely no supporter of Rachel, but your example is similar to people that deny trans people and argue with "well why can't I identify as an aPAcHe HeLicOpteR." Of course I'm not saying that's what you believe, but it's a fallacy in both cases. Manifesting isn't about achieving the physically impossible. I do agree with the rest of your comment though. :)

For all that “self development “ talk, she hasn’t really developed much, still the same person with the same stories, except now she inserted how it was Dave’s fault she was everywhere and working so hard, cause I think first of all - nobody wants her anymore and she needs a good excuse as to why she isn’t participating in all of those projects anymore (plus if Dave was the one arranging it all I assume it would get that much harder to arrange it without him), and second - the whole work till you drop mentality is not trendy anymore, so she is switching to self care and such.

This^^^ How on earth can she possibly evolve and mature when her whole schtick is a shyster bs claim. She does not take accountability and jumping and yelling about 'working hard' is nonsense. She married a disnèy executive. That's all. She has zero tolerance for those of us that really work. Try working in an ER for ONE DAY. She could really do something and own up that she’s simply changed her mind and with her divorce realized what’s really important in life and people would probably resonate with that. “Dave made me do it” she seems to have forgotten large parts of this story like the fact that she didn’t know she was going to be successful when Dave booked her for these events because GWYF hadn’t even come out. And that at the time she was trying to build a cash reserve for her company that she has just relocated to Austin. Also in her coaching she frequently said she loved being out on the road because she found parenting “littles” hard and thought she would prefer parenting as they got older. I mean blame who you want Rachel but you know what remember the lies you have told. Honestly she ties herself in knots because she can’t remember what she has said when…

Well, she probably did lose money this time. And she probably couldn't lower the ticket price because so few people attended and she couldn't afford to do the event otherwise. She's rich, but net worth doesn't equal available cash. She very likely doesn't have the liquid cash to pay for an event of that caliber. I sense a financial downfall for her soon. I hope not! I’m trying to figure out why she needed to have a conference. It sounds like she didn’t have new content to share. She needed to do some personal reflection and grow from the divorce so she’d have new material. It sounds like this was a lazy cash grab. I would expect the content to have been about how to transform after divorce or something. Also since she doubled down so hard on not being relatable, I don’t think she can go back to these “relatable” outfits. They don’t even look like anything she’s worn before. It’s also not funny because she’s not a comedian.
@HeyLauraVan

Thank you for annotating this event so we didn't have to! It all seemed so lazy and phoned-in. When she was telling the story about going into a meltdown spiral b/c her new boyfriend wasn't texting her, I thought: What if Brene Brown were speaking instead? Brene has funny stories about going into a one-sided meltdown when you misinterpret what someone else is doing, but it also leads into an actual lesson. She then TEACHES people what she learned to do: say, "I'm upset at [what you did]. The story I'm telling myself is..." and then offer your sad-sack interpretation and wait for the response. One of her examples: thinking an employee was disgruntled and over it because she spent meetings sighing and grimacing, and building it up in her head that this person had a terrible attitude. And then when Brene went to her to share the story Brene was telling herself, the shocked employee exclaimed that she was sore b/c she just started a new zumba class! Rachel's stories, on the other hand, might be somewhat funny (or not -- I don't believe the "Oh did I say that out loud?" story at all. Standard contemporary romance trope I doubt has ever happened IRL). I guess the point is they make her "relatable." But they don't instruct, they don't offer a wider POV or lasting lesson whatsoever.

On the outfit note - the "sloppy" pants I feel like could be a bid to be relatable (wow!). Especially with this kinda unusual message from her to slow down, I feel like that's a calculated move. A "hey, even I'm not put together all the time!! I wear leggings too!" Maybe I'm not being generous with her. I also love leggings but I agree that for a live show you go at least leggings with a design? I too have no fashion sense.

I had to pause and comment here with "Dave Made Her Do It." I was very into Rachel at the point when she was doing all of that travelling speaking all over the country, and she said multiple times PROUDLY that she could speak on the biggest stages and then come home to her babies and be an exceptional mother. There were many times we would get a high-gloss, big production series of Stories and grid post that within 12 hours had a follow-up grid/Stories series of her in her sweats with the holes in them with Noah, her youngest. She monetized and celebrated that she could do it all, and so could you. To say she wanted to be home with her kids and was coerced into that time is insane. She wanted the limelight, she just now understands that the limelight ruined her career. ALSO, she has said publicly multiple times that she moved her business from California to Texas and spoke on all those stages for 18 months because she didn't know what her income was going to be and so she said yes to everything to financially support her family. Dave had walked away from Disney money, and they wanted to continue that lifestyle in their Texas Hill Country Mansion with no secure income. She chose that life. I don't think she's lying that she didn't miss her kids, but she CHOSE that. She then BOLDLY declared she only spoke on her own stages, at her own events. Dave did not force her. That's so problematic to do so, and this clip may implode whatever co-parenting they have going on. (Also if she missed her kids, why was she on a plane away from Austin immediately after an event?)

I'm surprised people still categorize Indigenous and Eastern tradtions and practices such as "saging", meditation and yoga as in the realm of "new age" or the supernatural. These traditions were appropriated and commodified by Westerners, and much of their true essence has been watered down and even completely twisted. This is something I have come to learn for myself as someone who is reclaiming ancestral traditions, but with "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" initiatives everywhere I thought more people would be more knowledgeable by now.

She is so artificial...telling your followers that they are costing her all this money is ridiculous. Don't charge all the little people $2k to feel "very important."

Ahhh!! I have too many thoughts for a KZbin comment! I’ll boil it down to 2 things. 1. I’d have no problem with her saying/doing any of these things (the clothes, the I only went so hard because the men influenced me, the how do I kiss, the it’s not hard to not drink but I can’t wait to have a drink, etc.) if she hadn’t just spent the last however many years convincing other women to just do what I do and everything will be perfect…and profiting off of it. 2. I really thinks she wants to/is trying to be Glennon Doyle. Thank you for your service. This video is great.

She just need therapy ASAP. Lots of childhood trauma. Can’t believe people pay her to tell them what to do. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And HOW do you forget a tampon is inside you for 3 weeks? How? Her stories are just worse than a teenager telling a story. My son can tell better stories and he is 14. And how are all these stories relatable to people? How? She is so dumb

You can actually die from having a tampon inside you for too long. It's called toxic shock syndrome. That story is total BS (besides being gross and unfunny.)

Agreed on the need for intense therapy and healing from childhood trauma… I can recognize it very quickly in people because I had a traumatic childhood myself that I’ve been in therapy for for almost 4 years. I really hope she can just put the brakes on everything with her business for however long it takes so that she can truly heal before she completely implodes😓

Would she not be able to tell in the shower washing up?? I don’t buy it. It is so dangerous to leave a tampon in for an extended amount of time! And nasty and SMELLY 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮 ALSO, it would start to bleed thru, it doesn’t hold an i infinite amount of liquid??? The more I think, the more I realize this is a gross attempt at being relatable lmao

Ok. Let me get this straight. The woman who doesn't want to be relatable, is trying to get us to relate to her? 🤬 Don't worry Hollis, I DON'T want to relate to your victim, blaming everyone else, mentality!

The funny part about those outfits is that she paid someone to really think about those outfits ,and put them together for her. That's her showing what Mommy outfits look like. Hip, cool mommy outfits. It's really lame if you think about it because she probably doesn't dress like that in real life, but that's the message she's trying to convey. I think she's trying to be relatable! LOL

As far as the hustle culture, it sounds like the Hollywood strike-while-the-iron’s-hot mentality. If you’re getting offers, you need to take advantage. The offers might stop coming in a year, a few months, who knows? There’s this pressure to make a lifetime’s worth of money during your 15 minutes of fame. It’s a sick and twisted mindset.

She used to work at Miramax and she was a party planner for the Hollywood elite. Combine that with what her upbringing and her marriage was like and it’s no wonder she got the toxic hustling mentality. Most of the world doesn’t work that way anymore. Yes - there are some things that have a moment before they disappear. But thanks to the Internet, that rush turns out to be manufactured and artificial. Opportunities don’t stop cold turkey! It’s clear Hollis hasn’t taken enough time to breathe or rebuild since her divorce.

Here's one thing I caught: She said she was married for EIGHTEEN years, but she got married in 2004 and then divorced just last year, so wouldn't that make it SIXTEEN years of marriage? She MET Dave eighteen years BEFORE ultimately divorcing...damn, everyone here who said she contradicts herself all the time is RIGHT...

And Rachel maybe needs to experience a few men not just go from a divorce to another realationship with in months, the way she acts like a 12 year old just seems like she needs to learn. I think a lot of us are almost grateful for a few bad tinder dates as at least we learned from them!

After my divorce, I spent a fair bit of time just focusing on my own healing and the healing of my children. When I finally decided to re-enter the dating world, I tried match for a while. There was such freedom and relief in knowing that I could go out on one date, and even if he was perfectly nice, be able to say, "thank you for the coffee, I had a nice time, but I don't see this going anywhere." Most of the time, it was well received, and there were a few jerks as well, but being able to stay single until I found a good partner was amazing. I got over that fear I had at 19 that no one would ever want me so I should just settle for the first guy that would have me. 30 year old me was much more secure in my self worth and boundaries than 19 year old me was.

@@amandameleen9084 I probably should have added the staying single and focusing on your self and also in Rachels case the kids , this one also goes for Dave as the Heidi realationship seems co dependent and way too fats! But glad you where able to heal and eventually find a new relationship.:)

It's seems like she outed herself out when talking about "not being seen", hence the crying about waiting 2hrs for a text. My personal opinion is that if you have this strong internal dialogue about "not being seen" you start to become obsessed with being seen. If this is the case, I hope she truly gets healed from this.
