I agree! Also introducing Maven and Victor diminishes the little bit of lore and importance he had, reducing him to a mere foot soldier with a name shared amongst many others.

I wanted to like Victor so much (storywise), but he doesn't bring anything new to the table, other than being Raven's boss. By looking at him, you'd think that this dude is going to throw hands with Kazuya himself but he just fights Dragunov, just like Raven and She-Raven did before him. So, overall, there's nothing particularly original nor interesting. You could have easily replaced him with Raven in all of his scenes and nothing would have changed. Only thing his presence does is that it makes Raven feel insignificant in the story, as he's just Victor's yes-man, which kinda ruins this badass ninja.

For Raven I feel as if there are things to be improved. Don't get me wrong I do like the idea that he is now the new leader and that he's carrying the torch. At the same time though I feel like there could have been something more personal to be done. Like for instance I don't know whether this is canon, but there was talks that Dragov off killed Master Raven (don't know if that's true, I haven't even seen any of the endings from 7 so take that as you will). I mean hell you think that maybe him or Victor would even bring up the fact that Master Raven was even in 7 anyway. That being said, I don't think it's ending was bad. Victor's ending was kind of the norm I guess. I think there's a lot to be more read into because he is the leader of the un's military force. This should be the guy that is pretty much in one of the top leagues of strength here. Even some of the mishima's recognize the fact that fighting Victor is similar to fighting the UN itself. Yet his ending was just him taking out jobbers and then going out with a lady. Hell on that note I almost have expect a woman to be someone from the cast to have been in a while, a part of me was actually joking with someone saying it could be Anna (on that note I really want Anna to be in Tekken 8. Might be controversial but Anna was always a better character than Nina) I have no hatred for Victor's ending but I do think it could be improved a little bit. I would even say it's a little bit below Ravens

I actually like both endings. When I first saw Victors trailer, I thought to myself, "Damn. This guy has to be a womanizer." It's amazing he isn't tied to Lili. But that would've been to obvious of a cop out. And I'm glad they kept it a little different.... unless his woman in waiting happens to be.... Nah....

I would've like it Raven to be much more involved in the T8 Story... but yeah.. overall Raven and Victor are interesting enough.. ☯️🤷🏻‍♂️

Sadly, both their arcade endings and their role in the story were very underwhelming, they were just there to make up the numbers, they didn't even expand upon the relationship between Lars and Raven from Tekken 6 (or the fact that Devil Jin nearly killed Raven in Tekken 7).

Characters need to be pushed to be interesting. Characters like Reina and Victor are 100x better than Josie or Gigas.

@@drugsforhugs7106 from a story perspective gigas had a sad hulk like story with Katarina and I think a Josie could have grown as a character and they didn’t step over other characters to do so I get d’vorah vibes with the newcomers.

⁠@@Onbutteredtoastyeah but what was the point if they were gonna just disappear all the newcomers from 7 except Claudio 😅 Victor should be talking with Master Raven in story mode not Raven (or they need to explain what mission was she doing that was so much more important ) , what about Josie and Katerina ? Better yet where is Miguel ? Steve and Hwoarzng are the only newcomers that were kept in the main roster for every game past their introductions
