I made the mistake last year of writing off the Chiefs. Right now, the SB looks like it will be Detroit or Philly vs KC or Buffalo. Vikings and Green Bay could upset one of those teams in the NFC, and the Chargers, Ravens, and Steelers could upset one of the teams in the AFC, but none of them look as consistent as the 4 previously mentioned.

My take on that game, chiefs offense looked great, chiefs defense is just bad now. CB2 is a problem, pass rush is a problem, run defense is good but the defense is a problem right now. The offense is going to keep getting better, the tackles are a problem but that could be fixed with Humphries coming in. Defense needs to improve if they want to win in the playoffs.

True. Chiefs go on that "prevent" defense, and the other team ends up scoring, nearly every time. Sometimes they've done it too early, and we've had real nailbiters, and sometimes they were able to use up clock by getting the ball back and making a 1st down or making the other team use too much clock. This last game, though, they were trying everything, and it wasn't quite working. Luckily they went up early

I’m curious if they’ll try to maintain the top seed, especially since the Bills have an easier end-of-season schedule. The Chiefs face a 4-day and 5-day turnaround, making them 1 of 13 teams with two shortened weeks, while the Bills only have 1. The Bills should be well-rested for the playoffs. Will the Chiefs rest players and risk losing the top seed, or push through and risk exhaustion? It’s shaping up to be an interesting year.

Chiefs have the 4th easiest remaining schedule... Bills 10th. Bills still have 49ers, Rams, Lions and 3 divisional games. Probably 4-2 finish... maybe 5-1.

Turnovers, penalties, giving up sacks, can't get stops on 3rd down is why the Chiefs play a lot of one score games. 5 sacks, 10+ penalties for nearly 100 yards yesterday.

Mahomes is battle-tested, which should help in the playoffs against tougher teams. There is no reason to doubt him at this point until he falters (if he falters)

Another factor to Chiefs’ play is that they have such a screwy schedule. As Rich pointed out when the schedule came out, KC plays a game on every day of the week except Tuesday.

I was OK with the Taylor Swift analogy, but they lost me with the Wizard of Oz analogy. In the Harlem Globetrotters cartoon, they'd always be losing at halftime, but something would happen that would propel them to victory. The Chiefs' seasons are like that. Seriously though, I agree with both sides. The Chiefs do seem to be playing the long game: trying to work Worthy and Gray in there slowly. On the other hand, teams like the Lions & Bills do look more dominant. The question is who wins in a winner-take-all scenario, and I would be embarrassed to lose a bet in either direction. ("You bet against the Chiefs?!" versus "Of course! Have you seen them?!")

@ this year he’s Jordan love with a better defense. Turns the ball over a lot, but the defense bails him out. MVP should never lead the league in INTs I’m easily putting Saquon, Lamar, Allen, and Goff for sure. And despite their record no one is more important to their team than Burrow. But obviously he’s got no shot since they’re like 4-7 now.

@@MsChiefsfan-w4k they got a few no calls go their way in all their close games. not saying it would make a difference, but it certainly has made it easier for them. that Mahomes scramble in the last minute there was a bad holding call that was missed. i wouldn't be surprised if they lost the divisional round, and i also wouldn't be surprised if the won the whole thing.
