Patch 14.20 was an interestsing one where they tried to buff Nilah with a Quality of Life change but then had to immediately nerf her because of how compatible she was with the collector nerfs and these nerfs hit her pretty bad.

Ah, yes, the patented Riot special of buffing an item -> it makes certain champions particularly strong -> don't nerf the item, but nerf said champions -> nerf/remove said item -> leave the nerfed champions unbuffed. But yeah, this is one of the most disgusting nerfs they've ever done. Not understanding why people max E in the first place...

It was already doomed when (I dont hate phreak) was complaining on one of his patch updates about dying to nilah and saying she should be killing you by auto attacking your 12 times not by landing a good E/R/Q. Meanwhile Yasuo or YOne can teleport ontop of an ADC and kill them instantly.

Im doing 3 points e into q max now and the changes feel so disgusting, they hit when I wasn't aware and I was genuinely curious what I was doing wrong because I was missing damage simply. Turns out they took out 130 + around 80 dmg from her full rotation at lvl9

I have no idea why Riot nerfed Nilah. I don't understand it because Nilah is like one of the easiest champs to play against... would be interesting to hear what their reasonings are. Also let's not forget Nilah was the only adc to get gutted when all adcs got buffed + crit items. Maybe Phreak has a bad experience with her? I don't know. The quick micro patch for NILAH when Kai'Sa's current nerfs were needed way more for a micro patch.

Nilah's winrate was 55-56% and her pickrate trippled. 53-54% wr with over 1% pickrate is the cutoff to where riot needs to step in and needs to nerf the champions. Nilah was well above that. Thats the reasoning. Yes kai sa pickrate is high but she is 50.4% wr in the current patch.

collector gives more value than essence now because both have relatively similar stats and essence isn't a stat stick like it used be be, 70AD + 25 haste -> 60 AD + 15 haste is a pretty big downgrade for the item cost changes, and collector is just mega value this patch

Hate to see the Nilah nerfs, but this could open a good opportunity for you, by branching out to other ADCs you could expand your audience. I for one would be interested in some Samira gameplay cause Samira/Nilah are the only ADC champs I enjoy, but you also mentioned you play some Yone top, wich I would also appreciate, overall I really like this melee ADC type champion like Nilah, Yone, Belveth, Tryndamere etc. cause even if you build like marksman, you also profit from items like DD. Anyway, I dont care that much about what champion you play, as long as you dont change your editing style and presentation, you kinda remind me of xPetu on that. Looking forward for next vid

shes very niche because shes not the typical "adc" champion and her playstyle is a bit awkward.. Her early game can be easily exploited due to the lack of range aswell and having a sht support doesnt help either, especially when she scales mid/late game

It's not your problem as long as you perform in teamfights, because Nilah is low range it's hard for her to do damage in lane. The only times you do damage will be when you all-in them so compared to someone like caitlyn & ashe who can constantly pad their damage with long range autos and abilities, Nilah's impact will not be shown on the damage charts

In competitive she's relatively the same champion because she isn't a carry in comp, she's more useful for letting support scale harder + deflecting enemy dives, so the damage nerfs don't' hurt her that much in that environment

Since i start otping Aphelios i hate nilah while i was Nilah main in the past. Personaly i think what it toxic with nilah is her w and the double E without a litle in between coldown, giving her 1K range ingage while she supposed to be a melee champ. But the e buffer was nice. What about remooving the anti auto attack and giving her anti cc instead ?

YunTal is not as useless as people think especially with collector since you can actually get some surprising kills with the yuntal passive ticking on the enemies when they are low. Also yuntal applies to minions, monster camps, and baron as well so it's not just champion damage alone. I'll just put it this way, Old E rank 2 damage = New E rank 5 damage, just take interpret that in any way you find logical.

Are the yuntaal arrows even worth it? I get why you would want to buy it on Zeri, its because she crits multiple times per auto... but just 70 more damage on other champs, wich isn't even multiplied by crit? Seems worthless on full crit build.

been thinking the same After the changes I considered swapping it for ER but I realised it has no point since Yuntaal passive works only with crits. Even with 50% crit the damage item provides isnt that high and ER passive makes it better for early game mana problems and still has some little ability haste. Build path I tested was ER>Collector as the first items and rest as always depends on the game

Yuntal isn't as useless as people think, especially if paired with collector. It's a cheap crit item that gives damage and helps snowball to your 3rd item (armor penetration) which is the most important part of an adc's build usually

sometimes one tricks have a bias which could hurt the balancing because if they asked me i would just say that champion is fine as it was no changes are specifically necessary, if anything just make her less reliable on crit items but that also changes everything so idk
