Sachin really deserves it. His charisma both on d field and off d field is known to all. His sense of idealism is very rare nowadays. It's right that he earns a lot but he does so in right spirit. Look at d way he has conducted himself throughout his career despite so much name Fame and fortune. Moreover he has adopted a whole village and moreover he has made Apnaloy where 200 poor students r taken care of. Sachin never endorsed tobacco or wine. Who else should get Bharat Ratna if Sachin shouldn't?

The biggest difference is that Cricket is very popular in India and Chess is not that popular. Sachin is in the minds of millions of indians as they love cricket. Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award - and the person who deserve by only choices that what the important service he gave to nation. So the person have the talent to make the service success against nation.... Therefore Sachin NOT deserve for Bharat Ratna. He Have the talent but the service is not so important for Bharat Ratna award .. It's just like a entertainment kind of things.... Without cricket we can live in nation ..... Sachin attendance in parliament is just 6% in last 3 years Again saying - Bharat Ratna is NOT for Cricketers and Bollywood ... If given then it called for fame only...
