To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I am able to wear them for an entire day without any discomfort. And they sound incredibly good for what they are, I prefer the sound quality from the lives over my AirPods Pro tbh lol
@linkboy3214 жыл бұрын
Open ear vs in ear. For some people, they don't like in ear style earbuds. The Lives are an option for those customers. The Pros are an upgrade to the Buds+, not the Lives. There's nothing that says you can't have multiple products for different people in the same product line. More options are always better. Like me, I tried the Lives and couldn't get a proper fit and ended up returning them. I picked up a pair of Buds Pro and absolutely love them.
@davey37653 жыл бұрын
Bought these today and am using them with a Galaxy S21 Ultra. I gotta give Samsung some credit, the app and new firmware unleash everything on these and the sound quality (coming from $70 JLab Audio gaming); these are just CLEAR and CLEAN sounding with punchy-deep bass. YES The app does have an equalizer and all the functions can easily be adjusted right from your phone. Initial impression of these I give them an A+ - wow

I feel like you are giving the Buds Live a little more flack than their deserve. As a user for about 4 months now I can assure you they do A LOT on a plane ride or a car on the highway which are continuous low frequency noise, considering they are open ear. They do little to nothing to block voices or other random sounds though of course since they are non sealing. In return you get a really comfortable fit (I forget I am wearning them often and I easily use them for video conferences all day long) and they are also very stable and I workout quite often with them. Sure their sound is absolutely nothing special, a lot of the times lacking even because I listen to a lot of metal (they do kinda ok in electronic stuff tho?) but they do have their merits, you just didn't give them much of a chance :p
@thekwoka47074 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I pre-ordered and am using them. In my home they easily eliminate the hum of ac and fans, and in the city they dramatically knock down the hum of the city and passing cars. I think it's very dependent on the shape of your ear. I saw some guy with cauliflower ears and his earbuds were sticking into his ears and different impossible angles and different depth. You just have to try and see what works. For me the Buds+ is slightly more comfortable than the AirPods Pro, but most people seem to think the opposite is true.

Fun fact. In the Wearable app you can set up any device no matter what device you select in the list. It doesn't need to be in the list.

Can you explain this please? I feel like I’m missing a feature/something important!

All those earbuds suck for me sadly... Without exeption all headphones with these standard rubber toppings fall out for me.. I can only wear bose in ears or the standard airpod ones. Sooo if any of you (or short circuit for that matter) would have any reccomendations you'd make my day! - Just like that video and Linus' segways to their sponsor ;-)

I have the plus. Don’t like the buttons, it goes off randomly when I turn my head. I have to manually select the headphones or they’ll be limited to like 80% volume for some reason and the pause button won’t work (but the skip and loud ass Siri will pop up when I don’t want it to.) if I fall asleep in them they don’t time out and will randomly call people while I’m asleep. Don’t know if I’ll get Samsung again.

The 80% thing is a safety thing from your phone, you can override it manually on most phones

Would you guys be interested in buying one of those ear shaped microphones to record the sound that comes through headphones so that we can hear it from our end? DankPods does something similar.

My biggest issue with the Samsung earbuds that came with the S10+ was that their background noise filtering failed after about 5min in a noisy surrounding. It was so annoying when you are working and trying to go through an order or so and suddenly the person you are talking with can't hear anything what you are saying and you had to put the earbuds away for a X amount of time for the system to reset. They were in service multiple time and in the end they were saying that they couldn't find issues with them so it was a "feature" :( I would love it if you guys would test these kind of things as well just to see which earbuds would actually work in a noisy environment.

I have B Live n i love them. Great mics, good sounds, amazing fit, good battery n not the best cancelation, but all around good headphones. Very reliable, and i doesn't give me ear vacuum feeling

I'm super excited for these headphones. I just pre-ordered the s21 ultra and I get these for free as a result. I didn't really think about it, it kinda just seemed like a small extra benefit, but these actually seem pretty sick.

Just bought the 75t actives for the waterproof aspect. Wondering how the two compare in sound and pass-through. The Jabra's hear through doesn't allow for conversation even with the music paused. That would be a selling point for me.

That's because they aren't sealed. Those work like headphones. Personally, I also don't like anything with seal. I get headaches with those earphones.

The tiny useless pocket test is a good test but not because I actually put earbuds there. It's just a good point of reference because most of the tiny useless pockets are around about the same size from jeans to jeans but regular pocket sizes tend to vary a bit.
