I don't agree with the Katar's simply because it has replaced normal legend heirlooms, if the other legends were still going to get their own heirlooms I wouldn't have a issue with it. It was leaked that Newcastle's heirloom was scrapped along with all the other legend heirlooms. So Maggie, Newcastle, Vantage, Ballistic, Conduit and now Alter will probably never see their own heirlooms because they have decided to go down this universal heirloom route and that's so depressing to see. As a Newcastle main it just feels like I got spat in the face by EA.

They did not scrap. Devs answered that during a video released at ALGS.

Imo its very good i cant wait for all the other cosmetics coming to season/coming in the near future I like all the different variations of the Katar its something worthy to grind for.Also I really love the content SoaR Hallow SoaR Drumbum Soar Tony all the other guys im really loving the SoaR team

Honestly at this point the only problem I have with the Katar is that I don’t really like how it looks. I think it’s missing that secret sauce, if it was dual wield it would be way cooler.

Great talk guys! I really think Apex is getting back to being a really great game, here's my wish list of what could come next: 1) As Tony said, more features for custom lobbies would be great 2) People are still asking for return of Arena gamemode, devs said it will happen eventually, could be with ranked again 3) I really look forward to the new map next season, hope It's gonna be a good one 4) More LTMs and interesting modes. Things like Solos, 3 strikes or the Halloween LTM last year was super fun, people love to explore the new options how to play the game and have fun 5) More stability and security updates

My opinion of the katars is that they are really cool, you can make like 200 combos and they’re honestly not that much more expensive than normal heirlooms plus you get them on every legend. Obviously I don’t think they should discontinue legend heirlooms but I’ve heard conflicting thoughts on whether or not that’s happening. Also it’s nice that they put the katars in the store right away so we don’t need to sit through 6 of the same collection events

They obviously are making adjustments and tweaks to the game and adding content, but at the same time there are ongoing issues with the game that are still not being addressed. As for the heirlooms and skins, yes you can make the argument that the pricing is "better" than how it was before, but still feels way too high and the way they still lock some of them by having to buy loot boxes is just too predatory for me to even consider actually buying them.

I like the Katar's because of the customizability of it. I don't like that you need to have heirloom shards to get the first one then spend more money to get the different levels. But I do wish they still bring out character specific heirlooms as its different object or weapon styles and that is cool visually.

I lapsed for about 4 months so I’m finding everything pretty fresh and somewhat enjoying the game again but my main gripe with Apex still exists….matchmaking. Everyone got reset to low rank so that’s very badly mismatched just now, pubs is still as awful as it always was and solos is an absolute sweatfest. No real place for a below average skill 46 year old with little recent time in the game to ease back in. I’ll persist as I know ranks will even out and be somewhat fairer over time but right now it’s frustrating to have enthusiasm to play but more often than not, get shit on daily. I did pack my 2nd heirloom shards so that was a nice bonus 😂

To be honest, every single competitive fps game are at this point. Matchmaking in normals should be without any restrictions because that’s how it always was in many games. Valorant, CS even before GO was having mixes where people with different skill level were playing, overwatch has that and we wont mention other games since everybody knows how Cod or BF was looking like. Resetting ranks is fine in my opinion because all you have to do is just wait 2-4 days for it to even out in 80%. I’m always trying to remind people that there are many fishes in the lake so you just have to look for other alternatives. Regardless of all of that you can always have your own opinion so I’m glad that you could talk about it in a way that can bring some decent conversation. Cheers.

I think expensive cosmetics are good because you dont have to buy then to play. Some chumps are essentially paying for you to play the game by buying these cosmetics.

Season 21 has been really good and I’m glad to see the game go into a more positive light. My only issue has been the gambling events that have been appearing. I don’t like that I can’t just craft the skin I want but instead have to gamble on a chance to get it. And the fact that the 7-9 packs were 1000 apex coins each was outrageous. That’s my only negative with this season but other than that I have no complaints

IDK, my benchmark for personal engagement is battle pass progression, usually I'd be half way done, now I'm at level 13. It is just ridiculously sweaty. Like the idea of a universal artifact. Got 3 Heirlooms in packs, free, I'll get the Katar next because I know my luck will run out soon. I spent $10 on this game in total, just for that first Battle pass. Let people spend on what they want. Thank God it's not pay to win. I saw a video with the gun balancing dev, left a sour taste in my mouth, his set up is Havok x2 and a Sentinel. What's the meta? Please define what "Ratting" is. I resort to ratting when the squad is down and there are no beacons. The general strategy I meet (I can make it to Plat but usually Gold) is ratting followed by a 3rd party rush (yeah, sounds like a skill issue lol). Wish list...fix sound. And Lifeline's res shield again.

The devs are not doing enough IMO and I think this season besides the good map changes to a map that was dogwater previously is just not enough. I didnt bought the seasonpass, all my friends already stopped playing and I will not play split 2 as well. Cheating got worse, matchmaking somehow got worse and it all makes for an aweful expierence playing the game that I've already spent 4000 hours in. Last season was wasted lifetime in my opinion especially when the first split was basicly useless, thank god they changed that again but this season doesnt feel any different at all!
