Slipknot ABSOLUTELY knew what they were doing when they posted that. They could've simply taped over the sticks logo. This was a clue, or maybe the band just subtly letting us know that we got it right, and that it is in fact Eloy. 🤘 Great video.

Rumours have been Eloy Casagrande. At first I thought what Eloy did, basically abandon Sepultura just before their farewell tour was weak. In Brazilian culture, respect is a big thing so not sure how he could do that. But if Slipknot was offering him a spot, I can’t fault him for hedging his bets basically. A big part of his life and his main gig was ending in Sepultura, so what would be left for him after that ends? One of the biggest metal bands in the US? Was a smart move on his part as I’m sure Corey would’ve moved on from him if he decided to do the farewell tour, as he strikes me as kind of an obtuse kind of dude…

I'll be honest, I've been a fan since way early on. They were my biggest influence in high school (Joey specifically), I knew everything about them up until AHIG. Then fell off a bit, but still would listen to the big hit singles that they released, not the full albums. But I'm just done at this point, it's not the same nor will it ever be the same again. I just can't support their decisions anymore and lack of communication with the fans. I'm just no longer interested in any new music they put out.

@@henry247 you missed the point completely. Eloy is just another metal drummer. If they needed a metal drummer they could have kept Jay. They say they “want to do something different” yet potentially choose just another ordinary metal drummer to replace the last. Makes no sense. I hate Tool but choosing someone like Danny Carey would be a better fit for that “something different”.
