He seems like a super cool guy..I saw a few interviews with him and he seems very down to earth. I say I haven’t been scared of a vocalist in a very long time because the last time was in 2001 watching Lamb of Gob right after they changed their name from Burn the Priest. I’d never heard of them before until I saw them on the Metallenium tour. Randy came out with a patch of hair on his back screaming like a demon. I was amazed and scared for some reason lmao. I wound up meeting him after the show and he was super chill and signed my ticket...I got the same feeling seeing Will. Fucking awesome!

It's one thing to sound incredible with a studio recording doing multiple takes of each section, but try doing that live for 40+ minutes! There are many talented vocalists in metal, but this was exceptionally good for live and very close to their EP release I would say.

The craziest part about this whole performance is that it was fucking brutal in that venue. I’m 90% sure that the oxygen levels were low in there- I felt like I was gonna pass out before they even came on and if you look at people in the crowd during the performance you can see how tired and dazed a lot of people are. Yet STILL Lorna Shore gave the performance of a lifetime. Absolute masterclass of a band, stoked to see them getting the recognition they deserve.

I love how at pop shows if someone jumps on stage they get tackled and dragged out by security, when it happens at metal shows the band just takes a couple steps to the side so they can stage dive. Metal musicians really are some of the coolest people on earth.

Unpopular opinion on this thread: Will isn't replicating anyone else's vocals. Explanation: He just sounds like himself on every song and that's a great thing. It just shows his mastery of his craft. You can tell he's put years into honing his vocal ability to the point that he can do just about anything. Basically, he doesn't need to sound like anyone else, because he's absolutely mind blowing on his own.

Travis Ryan really invented the style of vocal with the tongue curling and making those creature noises. It's great to see other bands taking it on and building on it. This band is fucking inhuman and 1000x better with their new singer, and sky is the fucking limit to where they'll go next! Incredible!

And I say this as someone who doesn’t even listen to Lorna Shore or Deathcore in general. So I’m not some Will fan boy. Dude is just an absolute beast and a true master of his craft.

Will is a absolute beast. But don’t forget how technically difficult it is to play these songs. On those 7 strings guitar like that. And don’t forget the drummer who needs to go ultra fast for an hour. The whole band deserves some mad credits. They are all on beast mode.

@@jacobtridef48 You might be right, I haven’t done any side by side comparisons but Will seems to have just a bit more diversity of sounds. CJ’s low register vocals were iconic, but Will’s lows are on par as well as having crazy good highs.

I'm so glad to see "Death Portrait," "King Ov Deception," "This is Hell," "FVNERAL MOON," and "Immortal" because they are some of my favorite songs. I Love Will so much and no offense to CJ or Tom Barber because I love them both equally including their other bands but Will is amazing.

@@jamescables5824 I'd be shocked if Will didn't cite him as an influence. I've seen the vocal style referred to as some critics as 'pseudo-singing' and I think it's a great term. By far one of my favourite vocal styles, I hope to one day see Lorna Shore live!

I personally feel that this song has put Will Ramos up there as one of the greatest metal vocalists ever. And I had never heard of him until this song. What he can do with his voice, and then do it live?!?!?! I don't know if I've ever heard better, or more unique on a song that can do it on stage as well as the studio.

How many times you seen him in person? Four for me. Each and ever time he killed it, especially last time I saw him in October 2019 before Cannibal Corpse. The show was incredible, Human Target and Infinite Forms were particularly disgusting thanks to the amazing vocal performances.

Good grief, what a performance. Will is an absolute beast on vocals. I cannot believe how spot-on he is in a live setting. If I attempted to scream 2 lines the way he does, I would be unable to speak for weeks afterwards. The new EP is killer. "To the Hellfire" gets all the attention, and understandably so, but I like all 3 tracks equally. Can't wait to get a full-length album from these guys with Will on vocals. And if you've seen any of his interviews, he's the coolest, down-to-earth dude you'd ever want to meet. Lorna Shore is amazing.

What exactly do you mean by "not officially live"? As a drummer, I can tell you that it was live. The use of triggers is completely normal, especially with genres like this, because you don't always manage to hit the snare 100% correctly, for example. And so it always sounds the same, even if you put a little less force into the hit / kick. The rest are , in my opinion, backing tracks. But they are necessary so that the sounds from the background of the songs are there (for example strings and so on).

I’m now 41, been into extreme music since I was 13. All I could say is that I haven’t been this excited listening to music again since the mid-late 90s. The era of “Anthems to the Welkins”, “Dusk and Her Embrace”, “Enthrone Darkness Triumphant”, “Nattens Madrigal”, “Viking Veldi” was a magical time for me. All the music that came out of that era, what a fantastic time to be a teen. That fire is once again burning. Thank you for your work.
