Yes they did. I think with new Sony A7III, Canon will get hurt the most, since they are more video oriented, Nikon second, panasonic as well and Fuji probably not at all, since they have a more specific niche. I'm a Nikon shooter, and with the A7III I really want to switch, the only thing that still worry me is Lenses. Sony don't have as much lenses and they are way to Expensive, 2 to 3x times the price of Nikon and Canon. And its what is preventing them to completely dominate the market, the selection of lenses, some are pretty bad, but Price. If they correct the price on their lenses according the price of competition, they will smash pretty much everybody, since their cameras are just great and are priced well. But the price of the lenses makes their system the most expensive outhere.

The Sony ergos are pretty bad, I was squeezing my hand with good glass on the A7R3. I shoot sports and wildlife and the lack of long glass is killer. You should try the D850 before you consider a switch. CPS and NPS are very good and although Sony is getting better but I've heard some horror stories. Good luck with your reviews.

Sony has some long glass 300/2.8 and a 500/4 primes and the standard 70-200/2.8 oh and the 100-400/4.5-5.6

I didn't think the 300 f2.8 or 500f4 were E-mount? Vincent sees the shortcoming as well.

Still works great with a Sony A mount adapter. Well as good as lenses from a couple years ago can. Works like native glass because of Sony's great Phase Detection. The Sony LA EA3 adapter.

Never used them on E mount . I've tried A7R3 with adapted and they still aren't as fast as native E, which are still slower than Nikon and Canon for sports and birds in flight. I don't think I'm alone when I say I would like native E mount lenses.

I dont know about the customer service, I have not used it. Don't have to much of a problem with the ergonomics personally. Menu system does suck. And lenses are still a problem both in price and selection. But the performance of the camera bodies are just amazing.

This is true, although I feel the Sony colors are getting better and more natural looking in the skin tones. But still not as good as Canon. Speaking of colors one of the shortcomings of the Sony A7riii, I felt the auto white balance was off and left a greenish tint to the images in mixed lighting. Not a huge fix in Raw but annoying when showing the client a shot on the back of the camera and they ask why they look so green.

Vincent Martinez Photography... My sony a6000 actually has vary good colors, comparable to my 80d... But somehow sony degraded their color science since a6300 and fullframe models

Look at Dustin Abbot but I don't like the orange tones of Canon.

You might not know that there is custom white balance for the Auto WB and custom color profiles to have your photos have the same canon colors

Colors can be easily ocrrected! Dynamics nope!
