Thank you Father for your clear interpretation and explanations. I am one of the many watching and listening to these videos you mention and I have to admit to being anxious not just on my own behalf but for my extended family and loved ones. I do read and pray, try to fast and ask for discernment and a clear head but I have always relied upon the Church and priests for guidance and now we cannot even approach a priest! Never did I ever expect the doors of our Chapels to be locked to us. I am guilty of having taken my Catholic religion for granted. Being unable to attend Mass or slip into the Church to visit and pray quietly has been the most distressing thing I have experienced in my life and I've felt deeper grief than even losing my parents and then my beloved brother a year ago, my many illnesses including cancer. Surely we needed the Mass more at this time and people could have had the option of keeping all night vigils in the Chapel if possible praying together even if priests were unable to be present. As I am in a "highly vulnerable" group I still think if I'm taken by a virus it would be worse to be without the sacraments of the Church. The law does permit an abortion to occur at anytime up to birth if the life of the mother is in jeopardy. It is never permitted to occur if there are not serious underlying health issues present to either the mother or the fetus. I must admit that I think that trying to connect the prophecies can be a fun pastime, I have always been skeptical of such things. As one of the finest priests I know once said to me, “why would anyone, especially the Blessed Mother, say something that Jesus didn’t say or hint at?”. Another thing he would say was, “ Never trust a vision if Mary says the rosary with the visionaries. What would she say, ‘ Hail me?”. I know that this stuff can be interesting, but we have what we need in the Scriptures, and in Apostolic Tradition.

Sorry, FR. , but that's completely wrong. 1,430 years? Where did you get that? These papal predictions first appeared at the 1590 papal convention. That's only about 400 years ago. While it is true that the first 74 of the predictions were made after the fact, that does not affect the validity of the remaining 39 that were for the future./

Interesting take. That said, if Malachy's prophecy is legitimate, then it stands to reason that the "re-emergence" of the prophecies in the late 1500's would be accounted for. So, you wouldn't look to birthplaces, coat of arms, etc, after then because the game could be rigged. Focusing instead on events occurring during a given papacy (and out of its control) is more interesting. Pius VII's phrase is "Rapacious Eagle" (Aquila Rapax). As noted in the video, the link to Napoleon is admittedly weak. But a rapacious eagle during that papacy (1800-1823) is certainly the nascent United States. Already identified with the eagle, the country more than doubled in size during that period via the Louisiana Purchase, etc. Not to mention the string of so-called "American Indian Wars" and the War of 1812.

Three days later Napoleon presented bronze eagle standards to his regiments which then proceeded to ravage most of Europe. Pius VII always referred to Napoleon as "my dear son." All this info is easily found on Wikipedia. I find the connection of "Aquila rapax" to the papacy of Pius VII to be a very strong one.

Father I'm going through the RCIA. It's a small but I believe bright church in Michigan. They do one on one classes and my teacher is not only a joy but truly a blessing. Father, I am not aware of it being "within" the prophesy, that each popes "description" specifically be tied to their name, birth place or coat of arms or ministry.. Most do however link them to those things. So, there can be other things that tie each pope to their description. But that opens up a whole other can of worms.. Also, as you know, Pope Francis's father & mother are from Italy (Roman Empire). Not sure where "Peter" would come from tho.. Just mentioning it. God bless you father. Father, I have no idea how your videos are coming up on my KZbin account as reccomended. What I see within the clergy of Ireland, are mainly weak apostles. I know of a priest who has said that there is no hell. Thus dispelling any need for the entire history of mankind. The only way "Malecki Prophesy" could be true is if each Pope to come named in the "prophesy" was connected to the description was consistently identified by the same criteria. Because confirmation bias seeks out a way to connect something for the desired confirmation. And it doesn't seem like how God would give a detail of identification by names. The problem is the even the criteria for matching the Pope to the comment of Malachi seems to be whatever a name can be squished into.

St. Malachy did not write this prophecy. The first 74 predictions were made after the fact by Fr. Arnold Wion who published the list in 1595.
