Did Straightening With HAIR GREASE Cause HEAT DAMAGE?

I'm going back from straight to curly, but the question is, did the hair grease cause heat damage?
Straightening my natural 4a hair with hair grease seemed like a good idea, but the results I got when trying to revert my curls made me realise that I have to just keep on doing what's best for my hair.

Sameeee ! Omg I’ve used a lot of diff leave in products, creams sprays u name it ! Never works. I started using hair fertilizer grease and castor oil. My hair grows so fast now and My hair lovessss grease. I’m a greasy baby 😂😂😂 it doesn’t get stiff at all either. Blow dry and flat iron sessions are Flowy, shiny, straight, and thick I love it !!

Any sulfate clarifying shampoo removes grease even cheap vo5 . I grew up on hair grease and still use it today. There wasn't any sulfate free shampoo when I was a child. After straighten/heat hair just use a protein deep conditioner u will be ok
