After his sophomore season he should've tried to go to a high level D1 program. 18 points a game playing against the best competition would've looked better than 28 against no competition.

Actually it is stupid that he has not been given a real shot to this point.

I’ve been watching your videos for years. Always great content. I really think you could make a book on how to get to the NBA. All this research you have done on these ballers would make a great book on what to do and not do.

The team he was on was trash and I’m sure NBA coaches didn’t think that his talent led to a winning basketball. Plus size and his basketball skills wasn’t like a never seen before type of playr

He was what I called an "Extreme Scorer" extra high volume, low efficiency and nothing more. I also thought had he took the opportunity to transfer to a more noticeable school and prove himself on a bigger stage, in a differently defined role he might have garnered NBA attention. He was extremely loyal to his dad.

I don't think he's stunted at all. He may have merely maximized his potential. Think about guys like Nate Robinson, he was much stronger and athletic than Davis giving him an advantage over NBA level athletes, that's a rarity. He was also able to translate that to defense where he was able to make an impact throughout his career. Just look at Bones Hyland who is 6'3/6'4 instead of 6'0/6'1 who has a similar game and even he is struggling in his career to figure out how to stick.. The hardest thing for many scorers to do is play the FULL game of basketball rather than hyperfocus on only one aspect of it. Perhaps playing in Univ. Houston would have been a better fit because there he would have been forced to do other things with players like Marcus Sasser and Quentin Grimes demanding more touches.

I think if the Blazers move Simons, he’ll have a chance. Either way, the dude flat out can score the ball. Maybe he just has to play a role until he can get more leeway. That’s what it comes down to in the NBA by whats seen. Obviously the team you’re on matters as well.
