Doris grounded the ball under the posts. The image of the grounding didn't get to the TMO. Check online for the image. South Africa TV didn't show it??? In the 2 matches Ireland crossed the SA line 11 times. 7 of those were disallowed. SA crossed the Irish line twice

The ball flicked Lowes shorts wh3n his foot was on the ground. The penalty try was incorrect. Only a probable try warrants a penalty try. There was no probable try because the Springboks didn't have the ball. It was behind the Irish scrum. It was only a penalty. Ireland were robbed

Got as far as Kelleher pushed ball back in ruck with his foot in first test. He was being held around neck, was lying prone and had no idea where ball was when his leg was hit and by a SA and then his leg made contact with ball.

Hey guys. Thanks for the show. Just touching on the RG tackle. I don’t believe it was foul play at all I think if you look at the Leinster vs Bulls game you’ll find a lot more there on the late tackles on Willie Le Roux and Johan Gosen, not moaning about it but didn’t see anyone going mad about those. The RG tackle was not a good optic and no-one wants to see a player taken off the field on a stretcher. Thank goodness he seems ok and will be back on the field In the future. 👍🏻

I find it so interesting that this match has made so many headlines. The South African "pundits" are turning this anthill into a mountain. Did the Boks get some decisions to go our way? Yes, yes we did but to say that is the reason we won is insane to say the least. You feel the officiating favored the Boks? How is it that no one talks about the Irish scrum infringements? The constant offside defensive lines? The constant ruck infringements? The ref had a bad game but going for both teams. If he called the game fairly I can guarantee you the Irish would have had more penalties against them that the got away with. The Boks ran the Irish off their feet after just 1 week together, having more success and clean line breaks than the All Blacks had against them in 2023 and you question if we actually played well? How spoiled are you?! This is why I prefer listening to actual players like Matfield who understands the process, who understands that capitalizing on opponents mistakes is part of game plans and not just "luck". Ireland was not prepared for how SA played and now Lowe's mistakes are said to have been lucky breaks for the Boks. No guys, pressure, frustration and great defense caused those errors. Instead of looking for ways to criticize the guys how about supporting them and looking at the positives? All this nonsense of "Ireland wasn't at their best" is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! You are only as good as your opponent allows you to be! A lot of mistakes was made on the Springbok side, we had way more chances to score than Ireland did. We lost the ball in Ireland's 22 a number of 6 times. 3 of those straight after clean line breaks! Numerous clear scrum infringements, Porter pulled down 90% of the time and wasn't called out for it. Ireland shouldn't complain and nor should you. they should rejoice. The referee didn't keep them out of the game, he kept them in the game.

The gum shields indicate values of impact. Henshaws was below the values required to leave the pitch. Casey’s gumshield registered the highest value ever recorded on this device. Booing the kicker lads?.. your trolling DJ played the meme ‘Emotional Damage’ in the stadium immediately after Casey missed a relatively easy 3. You guys are next level compared to the French. They have never stolen our songs either. Ireland were considerably harder done by the officials in the first game. Only one manager was raising questions through channels and he is not one who has done that before. Not saying they missed things for you guys also, just less important ones. Thankfully and even though it was a much more physical game the ref and TMO were pretty on the money. Great tests really enjoyed them.

Good to know about the gumshields, will read up on it a bit more. The DJ at Loftus is seen as a problem over here as well, takes the crowd out of it. (Probably helped the Bulls lose the URC final!). Booing has never been acceptable in SA, so this is a new thing which we don't like. If you had been at Loftus and witnessed the spirit, you'd realise comparing us to the French is a tad unfair. Anyway, enjoyed the tests as well.

Good after noon kind Sirs I am in my element with these discussions. What I would love to know from WR is how are these games reviewed after and do they actually take their analysis serious. Because just a simple thing the scrum for instance. Ireland has a habit of pulling down the opposition in a scrum it was even done in the WC yet nothing happens to them not to talk about some of their other shenanigans. Do Refs not see these things in their reviews and actually look to put a stop to it in the games knowing that this is what they do, I think WR should also sit for press conferences Honestly,

Kelleher stuck his head under Willie Le Roux's armpit and drove him back. It wasn't PSDT. And its hard to call that a "kneck roll" when the person driving forward initiated and maintained the position in the first place. WLR arrived at the ruck first and Kelleher cleared him out then raked the ball back. But before ALL of that, Bundee Aki was off his feet in that ruck. The correct call was made.

The neck roll that Kelleher suffered caused his body to move involuntarily in an unnatural way, into an unnatural position and thereby caused his feet to involuntarily rake the ball. That at least was a penalty to Ireland. In fact it is a penalty and a yellow card against the SA player. The try that came out of that, should have stood for Ireland. The ref and the TMO made a series of atrocious decisions there. Also, the Caelan Doris try should have been allowed. The ball was clearly grounded. Another atrocious decision to disallow it. RG Snyman should have had a yellow for his assault upon Casey. He demonstrated no duty of care to his fellow professional and he came from an offside position and that alone is a penalty straight away. Also, there was clear evidence on screen that James Lowe was in contact with the ball in touch yet both TMO and referee inexplicably missed it! Finally, the penalty try that was awarded shouldn’t have been. Yes, it was a penalty but there was nothing there in that incident which clearly showed that a try was prevented in any way. Look at it again. SA was certainly over the try line but they didn’t have possession of the ball in the scrum. They’d lost possession by the time the Irish scrum had collapsed. A whole litany of shockingly bad refereeing decisions now means that the record books will show that SA won that game. The better team over the entire 80 minutes (despite the lacklustre first half by Ireland) had victory taken from t(em by incompetence.

Last season I was far from convinced by Gerhard Steenekamp but I have gone 360 degrees. This guy will be a mainstay in the squad beyond 2027. He is actually deceptively tall as well at 1.94cm and can stand his ground at 128kg.

If its not seen by the referee and is technical play will carry on the TMO cannot recall unless he’s 100% sure of a foul play etc, so the Lowe try was a try 100%. I also agree referee made a huge mistake in the Craig Casey not for the foul but the offside that was clear. The mouth piece must ping twice for before HIA. Henshaw did not tackle high, kolise hit him with his arm that was carrying the ball so if anything the foul was against henshaw. The referee should not have listened to TMO for Lowe’s try , A TMO cannot intervene in technical issues full stop. The touch line decision again the referee instruction to TMO was completely wrong, his call was bad if he called it correct as not an on field decision then its ball in touch. The signing and dancing was rude disrespectful and wrong. It’s no teams fault bad decisions by the referee but Ireland paid dearly. The bomb squad yes great but they came on and Ireland put 4 tries past SA so how effective I’m not so sure. It was the same in the World Cup they were ineffective against Ireland ..
