Prob Is ASM 129 and Hulk 181 are not rare!! They are a horrible investment to choose

hulk 181 will go up.dp3 and eventually a new mcu wolverine.Punisher will go up but maybe not in long run.his title in comics isnt a big seller.swamp thing should go up.lower print.Blade seems to be wanted in another movie so that might happen.ghost rider too.i think these bronze keys will go back up.maybe a good time to buy.i need a swam thing and blade.

Very informative video. It's a tough market today and you have to be careful what you're buying especially with the CGC scandal going on. Hopefully there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks

A lot of the logic would dictate that the House of Secrets 92 is a much harder book to find in high grades due to a lower print run. And not as many people are collecting swamp thing so it hasn't persisted. But that logic doesn't follow because amazing 129. The punisher is safe, to say the second highest single character of the bronze age that is collected. Thanks for the awesome information dave love these videos

Who wants to bet if there’s ever a Swamp Thing movie, one of those 9.4s will get cracked and pressed and magically become a 9.6 or 9.8 just in time for a big Heritage auction.

Interesting vid. Always amazes me what ASM 129 turned out to be. Back in the early to mid 80's when I was collecting, that book wasn't even on the map. As far as ASM's around that number, it was all about ASM 121 and 122 with the deaths. Hulk 181 was big but probably cost about 1/2 or maybe 1/3 of the GS X-Men 1 at the time.

Here's the reality...Comics like stock and crypto are volatile, However if you think you're going to get these books at these prices as you walk around comic con and try and use GPA Last Sale as leverage to get a better price, the dealer will tell you in his mind to go fuck yourself and will say "sorry, can't do that"

Hulk 181 is not the first appearance of Wolverine, 180 is and even the creator thinks it is 180. Same goes for ASM 299 vs 300. Hulk and ASM are really high print run books and as such are really overvalued.

I wonder what drives certain grades dropping/increasing? Why does an MS5 4.0 drop 45% when grades around have better residuals? Is it pure chance or is there a sub market for certain grades?

I don't think so. The Marvel movie hype is over. A lot of people have found out as we grow older we can make more money with Stocks and high yield bank accounts. Look at Deadpool 3. Both New Mutants 98 and Hulk #181 are dropping. We haven't hit bottom yet.

@@teetoo3790 Agree 100%. I'd like to buy key Bronze books while they're low, but I just can't pass up the 5%+ guarantees on Bank CDs or High-Yield Mutual Funds. Maybe it will change if interest rates drop to pre-Covid levels, which likely won't happen in the next 2-3 years or longer.

@@teetoo3790 The MCU interest is definitely crashing hard but we can't call it dead until the end of the summer. If Deadpool 3 explodes and makes over a billion and they hit with some of the upcoming casting announcements then we're going to see another surge. Don't kid yourself about NM98 and Hulk181 - after that first trailer drops (this Sunday?) those books are absolutely going to spike. SDCC is in July, D23 is in August. We'll know if the MCU is alive or dead by then.

The market always has a bounce back in the Spring, then dies off in the Summer and X-Mas time, that's when people say the books are going to zero and that they can getting it cheaper if they keep waiting

@@User8vfjhejf That was the case for many years but not for the past year. We've been on a hard decline since late 2022. The previous trends didn't track.
