They probably DIDN'T see the cartoons, or at least not in color. Italy didn't start color broadcasting until 1977, so kids would have had no idea what color Dino was supposed to be. The toy company probably had licensing materials to work from, but I bet they went with whatever colors they had too much of, or that were cheapest to produce.

The reason all the Hanna-Barbera characters have collars or something else around their neck is to save money on animation. They wanted to be able to animate the characters' heads independently from their bodies and needed something to cover the line separating them. 6:21 The Lone Ranger is not related to Zorro, but he is an ancestor of The Green Hornet.

@That Junkman Please tell me that you were just kidding around about the British automobile company ''Jaguar'', cars coming out of Italy? (The Lone Ranger and Zorro) are from different time periods. In fact ''The Lone Ranger'' was partly inspired by ''Zorro''. The Lone Ranger was created for a radio show that debuted on WXYZ (January 31, 1933). Zorro (Spanish pronunciation): [Soro] Spanish for 'Fox'. First appeared in a pulp magazine called (All-Story Weekly) August of 1919. One important key element that the two characters have in common? Is that both have their roots in the late 19th and early 20th-century (Dime Novels). Which {along with the Penny Dreadfuls of Europe} were the forerunners to the Pulp Magazines. The character Zorro is often associated with historical figure ''Joaquin Murrieta''. Joaquin Murrieta Carrillo (1829 - July 25, 1853), who is also known as (the Robin Hood of the West) or (the Robin Hood of El Dorado)...Was a Mexican figure of disputed historicity. Murrieta was an outlaw from the California Gold Rush era. And one of the leaders of a band of ruffians called (The Five Joaquins). The five were said to have been responsible for everything from cattle rustling, robberies, and murders. Which occurred within the area of the Sierra Nevadas between 1850 and 1863. Joaquin Murrieta's life was fictionalized in an 1854 dime novel by John Rollin Ridge. The character who was the biggest inspiration for ''The Lone Ranger'' is ''Deadwood Dick'' AKA ''The Masked Avenger''. A romanticized wild west character who was featured in a series of Dime Novels, that were published between 1877 and 1897 written by Edward Lytton Wheeler.

@spankynater4242 Жыл бұрын
@@ThatJunkman Well, fur coats are from Sicily, so technically, you were pretty correct. And also, Zorro wasn't from Mexico, he was a Shaolin monk who wandered the American west trying to avoid fights, but fights always found him.

If you want to see something real bad, then look up the James Bond figurines from the mid 1960's. It's not the sculptures that are bad, it's the fact that they are hand painted. Yuck! They took the time to package them with a cardback but yet the brush work on the figurines is some of the worst ever. There's even a video on KZbin where a guy talks about buying them from some guy that had an attic AND a basement filled with them. His wife was going to leave him over it. I own these figurines. They're so bad that you can buy them on card on ebay for dirt cheap. Still sealed for almost 60 years and cheap. Now THAT is bad.
