Truly amazing, lost some character though - BMW R1300GS

What a machine! It's a modern marvel in almost every way. The one glaring thing to me though is that it lacks the character of the R1250GS. A bit too refined. #bmwr1300gs #bmwmotorrad #motovlog #motorcycle #akrapovic

For some weird reason, I feel like this bike is missing something. I think you nailed it when you said it lacked character. Love the acceleration and handling but there is just something missing??

It’s such a good motorcycle too, just feels like they took the soul out of it by making it too polished.

Hey! Yeah man I remember you. I definitely would like to ride it! I don’t know when I’ll be back up that way again though as it’s a good 3.5hrs from me. I was going to hit the one this year too but things came up. I’m going to be going to the Suzuki demo event at Team Powersports Charlotte this June in case you are close enough by to there to make it?

No man, the soul is all right there. You’re missing the point. Now the bike has torque all the way. You must remember that the bike you’re testing is new, with very low mileage. Let it flow , let it grow. After some two or three thousand miles, you will know what I mean🤙🤙

I'm sure I would love it if I had one, but given the option I would prefer the 1250. They made it too smooth and refined. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing motorcycle and better in almost every way. I just prefer the character of the 1250 engine with its subtle vibrations and more raw sound. The asymmetric headlight looks better to me as well. Just preference is all, nothing that really matters at the end of the day.
