I think Mahomes "took it personal" when Tyreek compared him to Tua and called Tua more accurate. Not the necessarily leaving for another team. If I were Patrick, nothing would've motivated me more than the league changing the overtime rules because Josh Allen "should've gotten another shot," but in the same scenario 2 years earlier when he lost to Brady, no rule changes.

I think Pat was more motivated about all the “Burrow is better at quarterbacking”, Cincinnati’s Mayor coming for him. He really got disrespected all year and responded according. Separated himself from the rest of the qbs for years to come with only 5 years starting.

@@dkdcnone5771 I do understand it’s about winning but these guys have huge egos and Tyreek would always have to deal with people saying he was only good because of Patrick and vice versa. Kind of like with Shaq and Kobe. Tyreek Hill was even in the MVP discussion this year because now they know he is super talented no matter who the qb is. Patrick Mahomes is still the bigger winner between the 2 but I wouldn’t say this was a loss for Tyreek.

There's a motivation to Injure Chiefs players, Key literally aimed and sat down on Mahomes lower leg and Pacheco was Illegally Speared during the Chiefs final drive. Both of those hits were of poor sportsmanship. The NFL is looking into the Mahomes Injury as being potentially intentional and they need to look closely at the Spearing of Pacheco who in fact hung on to the ball after taking the SHOT of the game. Congratulations Chiefs!!!

It's league wide and the refs aren't calling any of them, on any of our players not only Mahomes. Jacksonville has purposely injured our receivers late in both match ups, Mahomes has been punched in the face, after the pass, 3 times *this season.* He hasn't had a single roughing the passer called on him in over two seasons and he gets hit late all the time. I am born and raised in KC MO. I well remember our first Chief dynasty with Stram and Dawson when they won soon and often starting in Dallas in the new timers AFL and continuing right on through to the move of my hometown. What you said about Hill is SPOT ON and more!!! Hill was a HUGE "behavior problem" out of college. No one really wanted to take a chance on him. Reid brought him in. The Chiefs organization AND fellow players got Hill right even though he tried to F-up again with his off field antics with his wife and son. In essence, the Chiefs organization MADE Hill a superstar by teaching him routes, how to read defenses, how to be a man on AND off the field, etc. And what Hill did in return after 2021 season wanting a trade or the highest salary was OBSCENE and a total SLAP IN THE FACE to all the people who raised and groomed HILL to be a better person and a better football player. It PISSED everyone off from the front office to the guys and gals cleaning the stadium at night. This whole city was STUNNED and TOTALLY PISSED at Hill even before he went to Florida and said all that trash about MaHomes and the Chiefs organization. Hill can eat it!!! I never want to see that man in this town EVER!!! He pissed off his welcome here. He blew this city and our team off. He showed what he was REALLY made of: an immature and SELFISH ego. Nothing else. His money will never buy him respect or admiration. He's a tool. Nuff said...

Pressing against the Tampa 2 high safeties, the AFC meltdown against the Bengals, and Hill leaving forced Mahomes to be more of a pocket passer and be more efficient. That change from being a gunslinger like Farve to being more patient is bad for the other teams in the NFL, because his arm talent is still there and with the personnel he can still take the deep shots.

I was remembering him bragging about Tua being the most accurate passer publicly and was like, damn, he just crapped all over a past teammate that won a Superbowl with him. Yeah, the Bucs bowl was bad and the AFC championship lost to the Bengals stung bad. Even near the end of the season Hill was still flapping his big mouth before the playoffs started calling out the Chiefs hoping the Dolphins draw their card. What!?!? What does he have to prove to KC. They gave him what he wanted. They let him go make his money. He is ONLY poking the Bear now.

Mahomes is like Nikola Jokic of the NBA. No matter who Jokic is playing with, Jokic will pass the ball to the open man, who scores an easy shot. Same with Mahomes. Mahomes can be playing with the worse WRs and still drop the ball in their hands for TDs. They're both like supercomputers, who will figure out the best play and execute it with extreme precision. That's why they're both MVPs in their respective leagues.

Not really. With Hill, we had a weaker WR core and no great way to utilize Hardman. Hardman generally takes those burner roues that Hill ran. I think the biggest change was having multiple WR targets he had more trust in. Juju, MVS, Watson, Moore, and Toney coming is a complete overhaul. If KC keeps Hill and adds MVS and Juju, I think he could potentially have broken the yards record in 16 games instead of 17. The trash talking was motivation, but Mahomes isn't a stat hunter. He plays to win.

Hill got fired for wanting too much money after a tentative deal was struck. Selfishness like that doesn't get you on Clark Hunt's good side, and Clark will fire anybody if there is a reason. Tyreek is a freak of nature, maybe the best receiver in football right now, But the Dolphins gave KC way too much to get him - and it showed in Miami's rather hum drum won/loss record. The teams that win consistently trade unhappy or about to become very expensive veterans for draft choices & use those picks to get young affordable NFL talent.
