Did Vegeta Really Need Majin to Unlock Super Saiyan 2?

He already has Super Saiyan 2, it was stated when Vegeta said both him and Goku are stronger than when Gohun fought cell. The Majin magic just enhanced his pwr output.

He only wanted to fight Goku that is why he used Bobbidi's power because if you think about it his pride would be broken if he needed knew he would need to borrow someone's power we know from him not wanting to fuse with Goku to beat Boo beacause it wasn't his power

correct, he only allowed himself to be overtaken by bobbi's magic so that he could be strong enough to beat Goku. He did take the power up none the less
