I have been waiting for Waves to really get back in the game. Not to mention their BB Tubes plugin. I'm really happy to see this video. Some really nice vsts coming out of Waves.

Do you think its better than soothe 2? please share your thoughts.thanks!

@@vcodev108 they each have their strengths. Soothe2 is a great tool and does what it’s supposed to. Currently I think I like using the Curves Equator more. There are subtle differences. I really like the ease of tweaking with the CE and the results that can give. And the price difference is way more appealing.
Soothe 2 can now be paid for monthly, $9 a month until you own it ! To keep paying Waves WUP fees you will end up paying about $300 over 10 years to keep EQUATOR updated, if you own a Mac.

@@jasoncruizer Just found this out... Rent to own is such a great idea since be there are a million plugins or there buying all of them is a tall order

I have ignored WAVES for awhile now - their marketing practices drove me NUTS (UA... I'm looking at you...), and I felt like they were resorting to gimmik-y plug-ins, rather than professional tools for awhile. This is the first thing they've put out in a long time that has gotten my attention. I really like the visual feedback of this as opposed to the Soothe plug in (which I use a lot).

Yeah UA are worrying me. They make such good stuff (That distressor is *chefs kiss* perfect) but I really hope they dont sabotage their justly deserved reputation by stupid marketing gimmicks. That daw UA released was a hot mess

They did, but I still do not understand the obsession with resonance suppression. Music is a collection of resonances after all. I get it, there are some really nasty ones but the can always be eliminated with a FF Pro Q3.

Fair enough. I think the appeal for these types of plugins is the automatic response technology. That it suppresses the frequencies that build up too much. It does add a nice polish to those elements, without having too many frequencies ducked at one time like a DeEsser or multiband compressor would do. And the price is much nicer.

@@emily_bowie it's a good plugin and definitely overall nicer sounding than for example soothe 2 and others.
