Loved this series! Always loved a fast Ford, and the "man with spanner and some skill" approach made it far more enjoyable. Glad to hear that we are getting another "Save a Scrap Car" series, they really make a big and positive difference to your channel Kev - Good Luck!

what about the other 30-40 hes scrapping a week that some could be saved down to laziness and an inviting pcp deal that some could be saved @Ian R Mcallister dont they matter if they have not got a blue oval you seem to be blinded by.
@IanRMcAllister3 жыл бұрын
@@rampantram1 What a foolish comment! He can only save one vehicle, and PCP's not exactly Kev's area of focus or expertise, just end of life vehicles. In this case, if you actually read the summary, he made a number of low cost and nil cost purchases to allow him to save the car/make his profit. Perhaps learn to read before taking the big step of actually being an adult

Personally I would rather have the Fiesta over a Clio 172/182. But I maybe biased as I just don't like Clios and am a Ford guy over them all day long!! And that's regardless of the daft money the 172/182 seem to fetch at the moment, well a decent one that is. Get ready to be doing aux belt, dephaser etc as they are service items on them, (I'm sure you know already, aux belt takes out the timing belt as well when it fails) Best of luck anyway and I can't wait to see you work your magic on it 😁

That bumper is about to fall off, it looked very loose in the video as you were fitting the part and the gaps are all wrong under the bonnet and grill, even worse than Ford rubbish usually is, and that's bad.
@cmartin_ok3 жыл бұрын
The "bumper" is just a thin plastic cover and although it's big, it is only attached in a handful of places. My daughter used to have a similar 2005 Fiesta 1.6; I was quite surprised at how few fixings held the bumper in place especially when you consider the force of air pressing on it at 70mph - but there is a substantial crash bar behind the central part, joining the chassis rails

I don't regard that £750 as profit. You put a lot of work into that Fiesta, and deserve some rewards for your skill and time. Same as for you tube videos, I know that filming and editing isn't a quick process and the kit isn't cheap. So we'll done Kev Tee.

@@KevTee I'm sort of looking for one, but currently the prices for even half decent ones are beyond stupid 😞 If I do manage to snag one at the right price I could well be persuaded to head into your corner of the country for a reasonable fee (say a couple of mugs of coffee to wash down a couple of bacon butties) and let you have a blast on your fave B road (another round of the same)

kev without sounding condescending but you make yourself sound like a real hipocrite with your statement of the car going to the crusher and what a shame it is you are doing that with at least 6 or 7 cars a day and but for peoples stupidity and mostly laziness a fair number of those cars could see another few years on the road.You just happened to of picked on that one "As special" like it has a divine right to be saved.I wonder if your next project has a blue oval on it by any chance.I wait to see what it is.Pleased you made a reasonable profit as i bought what looked like bargain non runner fords in the past to flip and they cost an arm a leg and a kidney at 5 and only 6 years old max to fix and sell on and two cost me a very slight loss.Hence i wouldnt touch another.You got very lucky to be fair with that cutout switch being the fault.
