@KevTee Thanks for getting back to the regular vlogs again recently, really appreciate the extra time and effort it takes to put them together! I think you must have had a premonition of what was to come, Kev, with the power fitness routine on the docks while loading. 😉 You should've turned that civic into a Hood Ornament, - a lot of car drivers probably don't realise the heavier HGV's can't just head out into lane 3 to overtake them. Oh and a top tip, have an angle grinder handy for the next time the curtain rail is damaged and just turn the whole thing into a flatbed! 👍

Good vid, The Lane hogers like that one in the civic, Are frustrating and dangerous, but to be honest in that situation it is sometimes better to move back into L1even though it is frustrating (instead 3+ miles sat waiting in L2) Most / all truck / Drivers come across lane hoggers and speeder uppers slower downers. Key thing in these situations is to keep calm and not to play into them. And to remember to ask yourself am I safe and driving safe?. But the situation was delt with well good work. Also nice work with sorting the trailer situation out👍.

Sir as a retired ex trucker/depot manager and then Transport Manager I salute your professionalism and ingenuity in dealing with the shit the industry throws at you The times through no fault of your own that you end up on your own sorting out problems when everyone has gone home I.e. damaged curtain rails due to hurried loading by dickhead forklift drivers brought back memories. The public DO NOT even begin to appreciate the skills needed to transport a 44t vehicle to its destination day to day.. if your tramping away from home and family. Putting in the required overtime hours to make a decent wage and sleeping in the office I.e. the cab in all weathers. God help you if your night heater stops working. Excellent vlogs bringing many happy shit memories 😂😂😂

What did the forkie do, lift the roof up on his mast? That's what happens sometimes when they tilt forward and lift up to push the load over a bit. You've got to keep an eye on them! I've had them use the deck edge as a brake, break mudguards with the mast (by crikey you want to park dead straight otherwise they'll break your tail-lights too, free of charge), knock the curtain out of it's track or rip a big bloody hole in it. One nearly tore a hole in the trailer deck with a 5-tonne hoist once! That's not a bad job you did tying the curtains up to go for repairs. I once transited a damaged trailer (accident) from Brisbane to Sydney for repairs. We ended up throwing a strap over the roof where the roof supports were because the bloody poles kept jumping out of their slots😂. Other than that, it wasn't too bad. All in a day's work, eh?

Drove a mobile crane for Greenham Crane Hire, had a job in Tilbury Docks to recover a dozer, got near the gate of the docks and the double rear drives locked up. Called the depot they displaced the mechanics and a second crane, while the split the drives I assisted the 2nd crane. The guy who drove the dozer into the dock managed to swim ashore and get out, jumped in his car and went home. The police and ambulance had to rush round and pick him up and get him to hospital to have his stomach pumped out. So Tilbury dock water is not the best place for an early morning dip.

Thank you and welcome to the channel, many of the bigger firms such as Stobarts or Gregory's have driver training schemes.
