Nice video and editing man, i hope your channel blows up!! This video was recommended to me because I was literally searching for wuwa updates and wuwa vs genshin on Monday and yesterday haha. I can feel and see the genshin community in a tough spot right now, especially when most genshin players are extremely frustrated and tired of the same chores and content. My favorite things about wuwa is the parkour and combat mechanics. All in All this is a good thing for Genshin, now they will have to adapt change and hopefully listen to their community and implement better mechanics to the game.

Nobody stopped playing Genshin. But nobody wants to pay for primogems anymore.
@ScorchedAce944 ай бұрын
You're right there might be a few thousand that completely stopped playing but no one "stopped", CCs and streamers are still playing but actually extremely less hours of gameplay. If you go on most gacha streamers on twitch yt or kick and check their hours it will show the majority of ppl playing less. I really hope the devs are paying attention to what's happening to their community.

I think there are lot of things in WuWa that are great/better than genshin and also there is lot of thing in Genshin that are better. I just started playing genshin so i wont be switching to WuWa anytime soon but i hope this competition forces Genshin to release more content and rewards because thats just better for me xD. And if someone asks, I am Ar 51 and i have been playing genshin about 6weeks. Personally i say that genshin is insanely casual friendly. Its easy enough that you can play any character you want and still beat any boss and it doesnt take hours everyday in order to get stronger. It being casual friendly is one of the main reasons its so goddamn popular.

L take on the artifacts. If you started playing from launch youd know how frustrating it was to have to wait for resin to refresh just so you could make your character better. At least with Wuthering Waves it gives us the option to make better characters without having to wait for the waveplates to refresh. Also the same shitty drop chance happens in Genshin with the main and substats. Id rather be incentivized to play the game and collect echos as many times I want without needing waveplates than not play Genshin just so I can have a couple chances a day to get a good artifact.
@reav994 ай бұрын
It might be my experience with it (I started playing genshin from 3.6) and I pretty much have every event 5 star I have extremely well built across 2 accounts, and I played Wuwa day one and now I have calcharo and encore built nicely (I have every 5 star but jyian) and I'm having trouble building yinlin, still overall echos do be better than artifacts

When you start in Genshin you have access to the element system, that mostly scales with level of the characters, sets that give bonus for early game comps and purple sets that are good enough to pass the early game, since Wuwa has no element system you rely completely on the raw damage your characters provides, strategies like going 4 4 1 1 1 are recommended to ease this requirement and the sets are the same at any rarity so it quickly makes lower rarity echoes completely useless, since they also have way lower stats to offer. You do need waveplates to refresh, the experience and tuners to level up these echoes CAN'T be farmed in the open world, I'm currently sitting at 2 3 cost electro pieces, 4 fusion, and 2 aero that I already farmed but have 0 exp to check if they are even worth replacing the ones I already have, and I will need to, most likely, level all of them to see if they even are good to begin with, something you avoid in Genshin when the artifact is already starting with bad substats. So Genshin needs resin to take 10 minutes a day and already have the answer if you got something decent since substats are already up, with the option of doing routes for rarity 1 and 2 artifacts to level them if you need to. Wuwa you have the option to farm these cost 3 echoes for hours, but also need to wait for waveplates to acquire the exp and tuners to level them and get some extra echoe tries.
@reav994 ай бұрын
@@MCHR92 great point on the tuners and exp since I literally ran out of them yesterday, the two system are really different from each other so it's hard to compare, unlike for example relics in HSR and artifacts in genshin where they are similar here genshin wins against relics in HSR mainly because the amount of stats is more and everything is recommended to be all on set where U don't have an off set,
@MCHR924 ай бұрын
@@reav99 I honestly don't like any of them, but from a live service standpoint, it works to keep player engagement, Reverse 1999 didn't go with the equipment RNG route and just made leveling characters a long grind, it was a breath of fresh air for me until 4 months later where it started to feel just as dull as the rng system. Maybe even more since they started making new mechanics that require specific psychubes (weapons) that you basically start the grind from scratch with every character. Which is something the rng system allows, sharing equipment. I do prefer Genshin's, against HSR, 2 less substats, all artifacts are acquired in a single activity, and allows an offpiece. Against Wuwa you can single out worthy artifacts that allow my ladder strategy more comfortably, since leveling things to +4 gives you most of the answers you need, something that you need to be very lucky in Wuwa to get both crits at +10. And substats are too wide in range (crit rate from 6.3 to 10.5 and sometimes even more than double like energy 5.6 to 14.9 with many values in between) And well... I don't have to go around killing birds and monkeys for a long time to see if they even give something worth it.

looking at twitch right now, Genshin 23k Viewers compared to Wuthering waves 3k viewers XD
@reav994 ай бұрын
@@Norcobikezz this comparison is quite not fair because we have to consider alot of things The popularity of genshin is higher since its been 4 years since release Where as Wuwa it's only been a month Wuwa is on the end of the patch where there is no content, while genshin today is the second phase, and we have a huge banner ofc furina And probably most of the streamers are streaming genshin rather than Wuwa There were multiple times where Wuwa had more views and vis versa All and all one day is not enough to determine how big is the player base If we took a whole patch from each game that would be more fair

I don't think so, the story telling is meh even compared to the early archon quest in genshin impact. It's nowhere near a genshin killer, everyone's just bored from genshin.

I mean yeah, WuWa is outbesting Genshin in terms of income (I think in the amount of player base too), but it will take more than that to actually kill it
@foxfm19874 ай бұрын
@@the_unknown2024 Maybe in terms of revenue, but not even close in terms of playerbase. Genshin on phones alone (WIthout china) is around 60 Million players. That is like the total playerbase of WuWa so far.
@the_unknown20244 ай бұрын
@@foxfm1987 I would dare to say that when talking about Genshin, revenue has more weight over player base to be honest In a way the reason why WuWa has been so succesful in revenue is because they do support their player base and are very generous, making people wanting to support the game, similarly to a charity in a way. This is not the case on Genshin, they have a more standard gacha financial system where it promotes spending to get the most recent things, which means their community is not as supportive as in WuWa (at least from what I have seen). Of course we can't compare the amount of player base between a game that has 4 years of history over another that has been out for like, a month or two (even so, WuWa already reached 30 million downloads in such a short time), but the income is already a noticible contrast

@@the_unknown2024it's basically two companies do business in different ways One cares a lot about the consumer feedback and try to give the best experience While the other uses strategies to keep their consumer to them while farming them But I can definitely say it's nice to see a competition and I think we can all agree that genshin is at least trying to do more and I'm here for it since I play both games
