What's interesting is that in the Spanish dub, Bowser says "Now I am invincible!" before it cuts over to Mario. I wonder if the starman can be used tactfully by granting invincibility to the user for specific instances instead of using it all at once like in the games. Maybe Mario doesn't know how to use it that way. Idk just rambling at this point.

@@bananaapple6212 Super star is just a name for the power up that makes you invincible in a lot of the Mario games, the stars that you collect in Mario 64 and Mario galaxy are known as power stars.

I think there is a (possible) nod to the 1993 film in this teaser. When Mario comes outs the pipe and finds himself in the mushroom kingdom, he says: “What is this place?” Mario and the 1993 film says the same thing when they enter Dinohattan.

I, personally, hope that this is the only trailer for the movie. It shows enough to hook you, and even though we know the basic story from the games, the trailer didn't spoil its storyline... just enough to get us hooked. I am sick of movies having multiple trailers that practically spoiled the story, and thus ruined the movie experience. This trailer is good, and I can't wait for the movie. I just don't want another trailer between now till then.

It's already announced that there's going to be more trailers in the future. I don't know what you were expecting, there's obviously going to be more of them. That's literally how all big theatrical movies work, there has to be multiple trailers to gather as much attention as possible.
