Personally, I feel that the Lord was preparing me for this conference weeks beforehand. I noticed immense numbers of scriptures dealing with surrendering our wills to that of God's, and finding purpose therein. I had been trying to practice total surrender daily in prayer, and it was changing my life. When I listened to conference alone in the car this year, I found myself in tears by the end of the second session. It felt like it was just for me. Nice to know Parker noticed the same pattern I did, and it wasn't just in my head! Haha.

Parker, I love this so much! I was so blessed to be at the Saturday afternoon session of conference. I have never been in the presence of the prophet, I have never felt the spirit so strongly. The children's choir was the sweetest. I have only been back on the covenant path for 4 years, and I felt this was a tender mercy from God. I told my friend they needed to put kleenex boxes on the back of the chairs. 😂 I look forward to your messages it always helps with something else to keep in my heart. Now I just fast and pray for my husband.

I was led to this. Thank you for your sharing your spiritual gifts!! I was then led to the talk BUT IF NOT… it fit perfectly. Our God will deliver us from ridicule and persecution, but if not. … Our God will deliver us from sickness and disease, but if not. … He will deliver us from loneliness, depression, or fear, but if not. … Our God will deliver us from threats, accusations, and insecurity, but if not. … He will deliver us from death or impairment of loved ones, but if not, … we will trust in the Lord. Our God will see that we receive justice and fairness, but if not. … He will make sure that we are loved and recognized, but if not. … We will receive a perfect companion and righteous and obedient children, but if not, … we will have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that if we do all we can do, we will, in His time and in His way, be delivered and receive all that He has.

This "but if not" has been the theme of my life for 20+ years, but especially more so in the last 3 to 4. It's so meaningful. It helps me endure through strength in Christ, humbly asking for endurance in His way instead of demanding for my own.

I think it so interesting that many hear different themes through the Spirit. I heard completely different themes throughout conference. But that doesn't mean one of us is right or wrong. I am much older than you and in a much different phase of life. The Spirit gives us what we need to hear. I LOVE the spiritual feast of General Conference.

I love your videos. I feel the spirit so strongly when I watch them. I’m much older than you (Gen X) but I have four millennials and one gen z and or family is going through some tough trials. Three of them don’t talk to us, two are somewhat, I assume because one of those three recently was married in the temple. The, rest,are not active and one is going through a divorce. But my wife and I have tethered ourselves to Christ through our covenants and are doing our best to find joy in our life. We are able to fave time two of our six grandchildren, so that awesome. Thank you again for what you do. Keep up the good work.

Your family sounds like mine, minus the grandchildren, and minus the husband who had also stepped away. This conference was lonely for me, yet much needed for me. I found myself wishing they would be there to learn and rejoice in it like they used to.

I have to admit that I have been stubbornly following my own advice rather than submitting my life to Jesus Christ. I have done this again and again throughout my life. As soon as things got better I would tell the Lord, “ Okay,Lord, everything is fine now. I’ll just take it from here.” And then off I’d go thinking that I had my life on track. Ha!!! Little did I know that I was going right back into the same old rut as before. And then I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. The Lord must’ve had a good laugh at me for my foolishness. I can see him shaking his head and saying “My silly, foolish child. When will you stop this nonsense and come unto me. I will take you by your hand and guide you to where you need to be.” I’m 74yo. and he and I are still having the same conversation. You’d think that I would have gained more wisdom by now. But I’m still trying and learning to follow him. I’m just glad he is so patient with me.❤

being in this church has taught me to change my life. Lots of other churches around say “your saved,Jesus did all the work” but when i read the book of mormon and new testament (working on old testament) i saw this is not so. Our minds have to equal our spirits. We have to pray daily unto God for our sins, we need to repent if we commit sin against him to show him we are sorry. we have to turn our heart away from sin and build a new block to fill that void with something better. Following Christ is hard and people will mock you and tell you that you dont have tondo that. Just cause they they dont want doesnt mean i wont try. i have felt more peace in my life and hope one day the rest of my family sees what the world is keeping from them with all the negative publicity. Im not naive and have felt truths thru the holy ghost. Men are flawed but Gospel is not if you follow it.

But what does it mean to do His will? I always get mixed up between if it’s really His way or my way. I want to do His way so bad, but I don’t know if I’m really doing it. Please help
@justin_baker2 ай бұрын
Pray to receive the inspiration of the Holy Ghost and if you are feeling the Holy Ghost in your daily life I think that is confirmation that you are doing God's will. It's something I'm still working on each day and certainly am better some days than others. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's our own thoughts or the voice of the Spirit, but if it's something that brings us closer to Heavenly Father and His Son, or serves someone, then it is of God I believe. You can also ask what you should be doing better and He will show you.

@phoenixrising53382 ай бұрын
I really have no idea what to do with these quotes. I watched conference. I had no idea what to do with a lot of them then, either. I sat through Sacrament meeting today and listened to speakers claim that everyone in our congregation is great people just doing the best they can to follow Christ. Except I know for a fact that they, and members from two other wards in our area, have been actively supporting an abusive man in a vicious custody battle, including committing perjury in court and totally supporting him as he has unfettered access and ability to continue abusing his kids. Is this really God's will? Is this really good for these children? According to these quotes I'm just being stubborn, not seeing the eternal picture, and relying on my own knowledge by saying, "No! Abuse is not good for children and they do not deserve this and it's wicked and evil." Under the logic expressed in the quotes, abuse and church members continuing to get away with abusing children is somehow God's will. I'm sorry. I just don't believe that. I think this has allowed and continues to allow endless justification of wickedness. And a complete unwillingness on the part of the church to work to confront and eradicate abuse, and protect innocent children.
@CElton-mi3il2 ай бұрын
Abuse is definitely opposite of God’s will. So, look to God for peace in this situation, fast and pray for justice for the children. Remember there are wolves in sheep’s clothing but all will be made right when he comes again. (Hopefully much sooner in this case)

Ephesians 2:8 For we are saved by grace through faith, not of ourselves, it is a gift from God not by works, as a Christian we surrender to His will, it is not by all we can do, these messages contradict what the Mormon doctrine states," We believe in faith AFTER ALL WE CAN DO!!"
