I had FRV-1 and I didn't like it until I tried Fender '63 Reverb Unit Reissue Tank . Then I thought "wow this pedal is so close to this tube reverb... even distorts the sound as it should" . After that I tried a lot of spring reverb emulation effects , but only FRV-1 is close to the real thing even if it is digital because it captures these small details . These effects are for nerds or people who can't gig with the real-deal because they are too big and heavy on tour .

Amp in a box is a good description. I've had the deluxe and used it during covid when I spent a lot of time at home with a surround sound system that had a 1/4" mic input. It was the least amount of gear that was very satisfying. After covid I brought it to my jam space and used it if someone showed up without an amp. Plugged right into the PA it always got the job done.

A couple of months ago I found a FDR-1 for a ridiculous price in a small audio and instruments store. I was surprised by all this pedal can offer: incredible volume range, beautiful distortion (for a Squier Strat!), excellent "vibrato" (I'm a tremolo fan) and the long reverb decay, plus the tap tempo. Unbelievable. I bought it with the box AND THE STICKER. I sold it because I needed the cash but don't regret it at all, because I enjoyed meeting this magnificent black box and the new owner could appreciate it as much as I did. Sometimes what I enjoy the most of the pedal geeks world is this: to gain experience collectively, while surviving as amateur or professional musicians in this difficult, monetized world. PS I missed the Record Time, thank you guys!

I bought all three when they came out, still have the Bassman and the Reverb. I use the Bassman as an almost always on boost/overdrive with built in eq, it has gain, volume, bass, mid, treble, presence. In front of a clean Fender hot rod deluxe with a strat it sounds good, not really like a Bassman but nice none the less. The Reverb is typical Fender, a little is great and a little more is way too much!!!

I've had the FDR-1 for years, sold it last Saturday for $100. Could wait for a week at least )) The reverb was awesome, but I didn't get the amp modulation. But it sounded decent through IR, not through an amp.

I used it in front of my Twin Reverb, and never could get a decent sound.

I have FBM-1 for about a decade now. Very nice & useful pedal!

Every time I’m reading the acronym “FBM” I think, “I need to to make an FBM!” because I have a the humor of a ten year old in addition to my more sophisticated dry sense of humor. (F’in Bowel Movement)

Using the Kemper but still using the Loud is More Good amp as a pedal platform…literally.

I have the Bassman pedal because the Fender Bassman is the best amp ever built. As I can't afford a vintage Bassman, I wanted to get as close as I could. It is a great pedal.

The first thing I do when I pull a new pedal out of the box is… …sniff the end to smell all that new circuitry goodness! 😂

It seems like the Fender pedal line now is in a similar place of being severely underrated. I wonder if things like the TreVerb or the Engager Boost are going to be discontinued and subsequently loved. I know Josh has let people know about their quality in the past.

I own the Bassman pedal. I had to run it into a H&K Redbox direct to the board when my rig went down. Sounded killer all things considered. I keep it as a backup just in case. Peace ☮️

I own the FRV-1 and I’ve grown quite fond of it. It has been on (one of) my board(s) since 2012. Great for surf and garagerock, but it can also do more subtle stuff.

The amp pedals live on in the Blues Cube in a roundabout way. At least, I have to think some of the lessons learned from these worked their way in the stock tweed sound and the Ultimate Blues Tone Capsule’s black panel sound. Sadly, the reverb does not live on in those amps and as an owner of one I wish it did.

The 59’ Bassman was my first pedal. Got it when I was 13 and used it as my only pedal for several years. People used to come up to me after shows and try to buy it, but it’s still in rotation 10 years later

I have the FDR... liked it enough that I had to buy it twice. Ex-girlfriend pawned the first one so I replaced it a few years later. If I run it into a slightly dirty amp it will get some near fuzz tones. Or at least it did with the Crate v50 I used to have. It's one of my favorite pedals.

Me! ME! I know Sunny Day Real Estate!!! I love them and ESPECIALLY Jeremy Enigk! I saw him in Seattle when he sang with Poor Old Lu years ago(another great band) when they played one of their last shows. You've revied this weary mama today. I'm gonna go listen all day. Thank you Josh for reminding me of these lost treasures from days of old. :)

Great to see some Boss + Fender Legend Series get some love. I've had the FBM-1 and the FRV-1 since their release and they were among my first pedal purchases. I keep coming back to these pedals, and I love having the reverb INTO the overdrive.
